Dean jolted around restlessly in his bed. The bed was dampened with sweat and his pillow and soaked with tears. He missed Sammy. He really did. He really wished he hadn't left. Dean knew it was partially his fault though. He knew that he shouldn't have gotten so angry at him.

A soft flutter of wings broke through the deafening silence of the room. Dean jumped at the touch of the soft hand that was planted on his tense shoulder. Dean rolled to his side to see bright blue eyes, despite the darkness of the night, they shone bright enough to see them glistening. Dean felt his own eyes well up with tears. He really misses comfort. Cas hadn't touched or even looked at him lately. He missed it so much.

Dean whimpered as a single tear dripped out and ran down to the tip of his nose. He buried his face into Cas' shoulder and let out a small sob. He didn't care how embarrassingly babyish be was being, he was so relieved and he was in so much pain. It didn't matter anymore.

Cas quietly climbed into the bed with Dean, holding his torso and running his fingers through the crying boy cried. It made Cas want to cry too. Dean never cried in front of him. Dean refused to show any weakness, ever. He must be in too much pain.

Cas bit his lip and buried his face into Dean's light brown hair as Dean let out another earsplitting sob. The sound was like it was ripped out of his throat. It was crackly and the sound was uneven and hoarse. He felt Dean's clammy hands tighten around the curves of the muscles on his back.

"Cas." Dean cried out, muffled and choked. Cas kissed Dean's hair and rubbed his back soothingly, pulling Dean shaky body closer to his. Dean pushed his face harder into Cas' neck. Cas tightened his lips. He has never seen Dean like this before. It was extremely concerning.

"Shhshhshhhshh." Cas breathed into Dean comfortingly. Dean let out another pained whimpered and sobbed. Cas bent his head down to kiss Dean's sweaty forehead. Dean snuffled and readjusted his grip on Cas' back. Cas didn't care that Dean was getting tears, snot, or sweat all over him. He loved Dean. His mission was to make Dean happy. That's all Cas wanted.

"Cas, I love you."
