Bella looked at the ring. She couldn't do it. Wouldn't do it. Not after breaking Jacobs heart. She was glad Edward was hunting, she wouldn't be able to face him. Now was the time to act, after the new born attack, she realized everything she knew about life, about herself was wrong. She had to be honest with herself. She loved Jacob but like a brother. She loved Edward but it wasn't pure. It was controlling, manipulative and completely selfish and that's not love. She didn't know what love was and right now she didn't want to. She wanted to love herself first. She wanted to chose for herself and now was the time. Tears poured out as she wrote the three letters, one for Charlie, one for Edward and one for Jacob. It was now or never, if she didn't leave now, she'd regret it.
Rain poured down on Bella's truck as she pulled up into the hotel parking lot. Thoughts of her life now poured into her head as she checked in. She had drove for 3 days straight monster and red bull draining out of her system. By the time everyone knew she was gone it would be too late. She be gone by then. Unknowing to Charlie and Edward, she had gotten a full ride to university in new York and for what? You wouldn't believe it but art and writing. Yes, art and of course writing. They were secret talents and passions of hers but because she was so obsessed and consumed by an artificial love, she never got to explore it and she was always taking care of her dad, she never got to truly explore who she truly was. Who was she? A girl who ran with the supernatural? The daughter of a chief police who was stuck in the past and a women who ran away from everything. It not that she didn't love her parents but she had be pushed and pulled by both of them. Actually y everyone around her but in the end , she could only blame herself. She wasn't ready to get married or even a relationship. How could she give herself away if she hadn't found herself . Everyone wanted her to bend to their rules, Jacob wanting her to be what he wanted and Edward wanting her to bend to he sought fit. And don't get her started on the supernatural. The pack only saw her as the girl who ran with vampires and the vampires saw her as a weak human. She couldn't take it. All the pain, all the pain she caused and all the pain that was put upon her. Bella closed her eyes and counted to sixty and sleep came. No more pain.
