Sara looked cautiously through the old cracked window. As the rain gently hit the misshapen window, she noticed the weird way the wind moved. It was not still, nor was it actually really moving. For an abandoned mansion, it was oddly well kept, well apart from the window, but that was to be expected, because windows are hard to replace. The quiet air was split by a piercing shriek, which seemed to come from the room directly opposite the stairs. Silently, she approached. Another scream. This one abruptly ended. What was happening? Cries for help. Her heart was in her mouth. The door was ajar. She crept forward. As she was going to the ancient wooden door, her face was almost cut in half by a knife that shot through the air towards the door. It hit the polished marble banister with a clang, and fell to the floor. Slowly entering the room, she saw a horrible sight. A girl was pinned to the floor by sparkling daggers. A man in a steel mask, with a knife and butterfly swords. The butterfly swords were not long. They were like daggers, which had been made slightly longer and fatter. She instinctively felt for her company machetes. They were hidden in her cloak. She would normally draw her pistol, but this was to be an honourable duel. The company had employees assassinate murderers and dangerous criminals. Despite the fact the population weren't too keen on them, the government used them often. Today was actually her break day, but she still investigated crimes in her spare time, so she had her machetes, pistol and Swiss Army Knife. On work days she had more dangerous weapons. Today she was just having a day out in the countryside, but even then she had weapons because other assassins still might hunt her down. She had a history with the American company assassins. She had killed many of them. The man circled Sara. They waited about a minute, then he went to strike, without success. Sara threw her machete, and it missed, looped back around and then she lunged towards him. The clangs made the little girl scream, but she was ignored. The swords pushed each other, and eventually Sara stabbed the man in the shoulder, he slashed at her leg in response. Sara kicked the man away, and he fell into the grand curtains, covering it in blood. As he staggered up, a sword entered his stomach. He couldn't feel it because his whole body was numb. With a quick swipe, his head fell to the floor. Sara rushed to the girl, and looked in horror. She was tied up naked, freezing. "Help."
