She didn't know why she was here. Standing on the porch of her superior officer's brownstone. All she knew was that she needed solace. Detective Olivia Benson took a deep breath before knocking on his door.
"Hello Olivia, come on in. What can I do for you," Captain Donald Cragen said to the young woman standing on his porch. She stood there for a second before she hesitantly entered. "I don't know what you can do for me. I don't know why I came here. I got in my car intending to drive home but ended up here," she said as she accepted a cup of coffee.
"I know exactly why you're here, but I think I should let you figure that out. Something did happen to you at Sealview." The young woman sat there quietly erecting a wall around her heart. "Olivia, you don't need to put up a wall. It's only me and you." After this was said, she set her coffee down on the end table before dissolving into a fresh set of tears.
Captain Cragen did something that was not only completely out of character but also totally unprofessional. He sat down beside Olivia and pulled her into his arms. "I know why you came here." He kissed her forehead before replying, "Yea, me too. You needed a father."
