Sectumsempra, against enemies.

"Will you ever marry, Lily?"

"What d-do you mean, granny?"

"Your sister has already a boyfriend" Petunia blushed, even though Lily knew she was proud to be acclaimed by her grandmother in front of the rest of the family. "And you? Do you have a boyfriend?"

It was Lily's turn to blush now.
Her pale face suddenly became as red as her hair and her hands started shaking. She didn't knew what to answer. Was James her boyfriend? The guy that wanted her attention so bad? The one that loved to play awful jokes on Severus? James the bully? No. Yes, maybe there had been a few kisses, some lips-meetings in a courageous night before Christmas' holidays, but that was all. Wasn't it?

"Lily has a boyfriend!" exclaimed Petunia, smiling meanly "A freak, a stoned, an id.."

She knew she wanted to provoke her. Petunia was still envious of Lily's magic power and, because of that little difference, she hated her. The red one still suffered a lot, but she couldn't stand at all the way she was talking about James.

"You stupid troll!" Lily screamed, standing up furiously "James is not a freak! You and your lovely piggy boyfriend are! You are envious! And I swear to God if James and I get marry someday you'll not welcome!"

The whole family froze. Lily. The calm one. The girl that had always been kind to everyone. What was happening to her? Nobody knew what she really was. They only were allowed to know that her school was one of the best in the whole world. Was it a place for mental people? Her uncles and aunt mumbled. Her granddad and granny were shocked.

"Who wants to be like you?" Her sister whispered, with tears poolinh in her eyes although none of them escaped. She didn't expected that reaction too. "I'll tell you: nobody! I don't want to have a crazy one in my family."

Lily felt the weight of her wand in the pocket of her jeans. It was there, ready to be used. Petunia deserved it, after all. She had to pay, she had to be punished. Severus had always told her to punish the one who merited it. James had taught that too. They always behaved like this.
She gasped for air and then she realized she was still standing in front of her shocked family.
No. She abandoned the idea of using magic. Petunia was her sister. She couldn't do anything to her.

"You know what, Petunia?" Lily said, sobbing and sitting down in a slow movement "I am sorry, it's still Christmas and we have to be good tonight."

Her sister murmured something that looked like: "You're right."

Lily smiled and when she went to her room she found an owl with a letter.

"Sectumsempra" she read "against enemies."
No. She would have never used that spell.
