Chapter 1
He laid soft and tender kisses against the back of her neck.
He loved the feel of her skin against her lips and how soft her red hair felt against him. He knew the smell of her hair and he loved it. The hint of lavender every time he inhaled her. Jackson Avery knew he was in love but not like before not just on the surface but he loved this woman like she was in his blood. The only problem was she was April Kepner, his best friend and roommate and he didn't know if she felt the same. He remembers hearing stories of people falling in love with their best friends but it never happened like he and April happened. It had been a month since she came back and it seemed like all they did was had sex but that spark was their. It was like they were on fire when they were in the same room and months ago it probably would be fine with him to have a casual relationship like this but something happened in that hotel room the night before the boards and it changed him as much as it changed her.
April turned around and gave him a tender kiss
.
"Good morning"
April didn't know what to do now. She obviously was throwing that whole revirginizing theory out the window. She wanted to be exactly where she was. She couldn't put into words what it felt like to be with Jackson this way. He made her feel a way no one has ever done and it wasn't just about the sex. The way he touched her was everything she ever dreamed of and she might be falling in love but she had never been there before but she knew it was a feeling she never wanted to end.
April was getting ready for work in front of the mirror in the bathroom and came from behind her gently touching her side as he grabbed something. He watched her smile in the mirror from his touch and smiled.
"Are you still going home for the weekend"
"Yeah, I have a few things to pack up but I should be back by Sunday. My plane leaves today at 9pm."
"Do you wanna have dinner?"
"Like a date?"
April had a smile on her face like she was joking.
"Yes"
"Sure"
April was done and gave Jackson a quick kiss and left.
"Hey Kepner no breakfast this morning"
"Nope, I'm late."
She laughed as she left and Jackson swore his heart beat a little bit faster.
April pulled into her parking spot and her phone rang. It was her mom and she was not too happy with her daughter.
Jackson went and grabbed his keys to head out and his phone rang. It was him mom and she was going to be in town. The last thing Jackson wanted to deal with.
