Mrs. Spencer Reid

The first rays of daylight streamed through the curtained window, caressing the slumbering lids of Dr. Spencer Reid. It was a gentle, rather romantic wake-up call, a first for him, something that he couldn't resist. He opened his eyes and allowed his brown orbs delight in the play of light that the morning had gifted him.

He shifted to his other side and felt for the warmth beside him. Upon sight of the beautiful innocence opposite his pillow, he smiled. Though sleep had stripped his wife's face of worldly facade aided by make-up whenever she steps in front of the news cameras and those smiles he had fallen in love with, it did not mar her beauty, liking the unadulterated loveliness in front of him. He ran a finger in her cheeks, along the bridge of her nose then down to her slightly- parted lips. Unable to resist, he planted a light kiss on those lips and bestowed another one her forehead, running his fingers on her blonde locks as he did so. A sleepy purr escaped from her lips. She reached out for him, wrapping her arm round his waist. Spencer's grin widened. JJ can smile like a nefarious feline in her sleep.

He closed the minute distance between them and cuddled against her warmth. It had been hours since JJ had given him the most wonderful gift. He was deeply honored that she had accepted his name, with all the dark history it entailed. No dilaudid, no Hankel, no schizophrenia can ever ruin this for him.

Jennifer Jareau and her first morning as Mrs. Spencer Reid.

He closed his eyes at this thought. He had never felt so happy.
