Hello again everyone. I'm back with another assignment for Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. This one is for Muggle History: The American Revolution. I choose to write for Task one Alexander Hamilton which was to write about making a serious mistake. And the Potter's choosing Peter Pettigrew was the biggest mistake that I could think of. So I traveled back to the Marauders Era and took the liberty of showing how I think they choose the Secret Keeper. I hope you all enjoy.

"Are you sure about this, James?" Sirius asked in a serious voice.

"I'm am Sirius," James told his best friend. "If I were a Death Eater my first bet of Secret Keeper would be your best friend. Which is why it would be a better idea to go with someone else."

"But are you absolutely sure," Sirius asked yet again.

Lily watched the duo arguing back and forth. They had been going at it for about four hours now trying to decide who would be their Secret Keeper. Lily looked over to where Remus was reading Harry a bedtime story.

"Why not Remus instead of me then?" Sirius said also looking over at Remus and Harry. "He's almost like an uncle to Harry. And he isn't someone they'd automatically guess to go after."

"Until they figure out that your not the actual choice, Padfoot," James countered his point. "They'd go straight to Remus because he's the one that you and I trust the most. Besides Lily that is."

"But still you want to trust Wormtail with this task?" the question in Sirius's voice was obvious. "After how off he seems to be nowadays. You still want to trust him with you and your family's life?"

James sighed and put his head in his hands. "Then give me another choice, Padfoot," he said on the verge of exhaustion. "Me someone you know isn't going to be compromised."

"Lily's sister, Prongs," Sirius in his most serious voice. "How about her?"

Lily looked at him quickly in alarm. "We don't want to bring Petunia into this if don't have to, Sirius," she said quickly looking over at Remus and Harry again. "We don't want to bring them down on her and her family."

James nodded in agreement. He knew that Sirius wouldn't have gone to suggesting Petunia unless she was his last and only suggestion. He knew that Sirius was disgusted by how Petunia treated her sister but here he was now suggesting her to protect them.

"That leaves..." Sirius trailed off looking over to Peter who had just joined them from outside.

"Peter," James said walking over to their friend, "Lily and I would like to make you our Secret Keeper. What do you say, Wormtail? Will you do it?"

Peter nodded. "Of course," he said as he turned to hang his jacket up not letting anyone see the unsettling smile that fell across his face.

There you have it Choosing a Secret Keeper. I hope you all enjoyed this foray into the Choosing of a Secret Keeper for the Potters.
