Jibun

In my dreams, I saw a young girl, with a head full of raven hair, blue eyes full of sadness, and a bright smile full of hope and happiness. She grew, and her eyes slowly replaced the sadness with determination and courage. My heart went out to her when her newfound courage led to heartbreak. Still, though she wept, her silent tears screaming over the pieces of her shattered heart, she overcame that, too. I was happy for her, and also a little jealous of her bravery and strength of heart. Suddenly, the girl was grown before my eyes, and my heart swelled with pride. My dream done, my eyes opened, and there she was again. We blinked and I realized – it was a mirror.
