Hey you guys! I'm excited about this one, sorry for not updated recently. I do not own Inuyasha.
Kagome was standing in front of the well and saw Inuyasha sitting against it with his arms crossed and his sword in his lap leaning against his shoulder. She walked up to him and noticed that he looked very sad.
"What's wrong Inuyasha?" Kagome asked as she knelt before him.
"I have no one, Kagome. I'm all alone in this world." he said as tears rolled down his cheeks.
Kagome didn't know what to say, but knew this was what it was like for him before she came, and she felt sad for him. "Inuyasha, I promise it'll be okay. I'll always be here for you." she said as she wiped away the tears.
Inuyasha looked up at her, his eyes showing fear and loneliness. "Kagome, I'm all alone." he said once more as more tears fell.
Kagome was about to tell him that he wasn't when the scene faded away. She tried yelling for him, but he just looked at her with those sad eyes.
Kagome sat up in bed, breathing heavily as she looked around the hut. Sango, Miroku, Shippo, and Kirara had gone to Sango's village for a visit, and Kaede was in another village helping so that left them alone.
"Kagome, what's wrong?" Inuyasha said as he moved in front of her.
When Kagome saw his face she remembered how sad and scared he looked tears came to her eyes and she couldn't help it, they started rolling down her cheeks. She understood how lonely he really was after that dream, and she couldn't help but feel sad for him.
"Hey wench, what's wrong? It was just a nightmare, I'm here for you." he said and pulled her into a hug.
"Oh Inuyasha, I'm sorry." Kagome cried into his shoulder.
"W-what's wrong? Why are you apologizing?" he asked confused at her random outburst.
"I'm sorry you were alone for so long, and I"m sorry I didn't come to you sooner." she said through tears.
Inuyasha, feeling like crying himself, hugged her closer to him. "Keh, it's not your fault wench." he said, but really he felt overjoyed that she cared enough about him to wish she could have driven away his loneliness. "Just promise you won't ever leave."
Kagome hugged him closer and nodded, saying, "Of course, I'll always stay by your side."
