This is my first songfic. The music is 'Lean on Me' by Withers Bill.

Hope you enjoy.

Sometimes in our lives

We all have pain

We all have sorrow

Saria hated how Mido treated Link, she hated it with every bone in her body. "He has no right to treat him like dirt." she thought as she climbed up the latter to Link's house so she can try to comfort him. As she opened the door, she saw her best friend, Link, sitting in the farthest corner, hugging his knees and sobbing.

But if we are wise

We know that there's

Always tomorrow

"Link," Saria said softly, sitting down next to him. "You shouldn't listen to him." she told him, hoping that she can cheer him up. "I know…" he whispered, not looking at her. "But it's so hard, Saria." he added, hugging her tightly. "I want to ignore him, I really do." he sobbed. "But it's so hard…"

Lean on me, when you're not strong

And I'll be your friend

I'll help you carry on

Wrapping her arms around the boy, "Just come to me if he starts saying mean things to you." she whispered to him, returning the hug. "But you can't help me with all of them…" Link told her, sobbing onto her shoulder. "He calls me names, Saria." he went on. "What kind of names?" she asked softly. Link looked up at her and answered,

"Mr. No Fairy."

Please swallow your pride

If I have things

You need to borrow

"I'll listen to you if you want to talk." the green hair girl told him gently. "Anything?" Link sniffed. "Anything Link," Saria said.

"Anything,"

For no one can fill

Those of your needs

That you won't let show

"I can't help you if you don't tell me." the girl told him. "And I want to help you." she added soon after, rubbing the boy's back. "Ok," Link whispered as his tears wasn't falling as hard now.

You just call on me brother

When you need a hand

We all need somebody to lean on

"I'll pull you out of the darkness when you're trap," Saria told the boy. "No matter how bad things get, always remember," she told him.

"You can lean on me,"

I just might have a problem

That you'll understand

We all need somebody to lean on

"Because Link," she whispered, looking into his deep blue eyes of his. "I might need you later." she told him, hugging him again. Link smiled as he wrapped his arms around her and whispered,

"If you need me, I'll always be there."

Lean on me, when you're not strong

And I'll be your friend

I'll help you carry on

"So it's settled," Link smirk.

"I'll lean on you," he started.

"And I'll lean on you," she finished.

For it won't be long

Till I'm gonna need

Somebody to lean on
