A/N: So, this story is a songfic (eventually) of Check yes Juliet by We the Kings. This is the tale of Kinkow's forbidden lovers, of the king...and the peasant. I got the idea from the line in an episode I watched today when Brady said: "The public can't know their kang's got it bad for a peasant" or something like that. I just heard that line and this whole story just evolved from there. So, hope you enjoy it. Review please. I will love you if you do!

Brady sighed. It was that time (again) when Brady showed he was the king with the chime. He usually loved performing, but they put so much pressure on him to write the best songs, to be the best performer in Kinkow, just because he had the stupid chime. He would sit on his bed with his guitar for hours, trying to find the perfect lyrics, the perfect melody. How was he supposed to do it this time? Nothing eventful had happened to him. At least, nothing he could tell all of Kinkow about...

"Come on, Mikayla,"he urged her as he wiped rain off his face.
"Brady, I can't!" she called quietly from her balcony.
"Yes, you can, just jump! Haven't you ever snuck out before?"he asked.
"Well, yeah. But this time it's different!" she said.
"How?"
"Well, I've never snuck out at midnight to go on a romantic date with a king because it's the only time we're able to be together!"
"I'm sorry! But I read in the Great Book that if the king dates a girl who isn't royalty, the people will stone that girl to death! I can't let that happen to you!"
"Awwww... but I really can't jump!"
"Don't you trust me? I promise I'll catch you. I won't let you fall."
Mikayla sighed. She jumped. Brady caught her in his arms.
"That wasn't so hard now, was it?" He smiled at her. She smiled back. He leaned in to kiss her when...
"My king?"
"Lanny! Uhh...M-Mikayla, she, uh, sh-she fell out her window and, uh, luckily I was here to, uh, catch...her."
Lanny smirked. "Suuuurrrre..." he said.

Hmmm...If he put that the right way, no one would figure it out! Hopefully. He jotted down a few lines. But that was only one verse. He needed more. Well, he would just have to spend more time with Mikayla. Too bad for him. (;D)

So what did you think? I'm going through a pretty bad case of writer's block right now so it's kinda short. But hey, short and sweet is good. ;D
