Max POV
I stood there gutted Alex and Justin both get to keep their powers and all I get is the sub shop don't get me wrong I'm happy for them I just really thought I was gonna win I tried so hard and for what a rundown sandwich shop.
I decided to go home I was too upset to even say goodbye I walked into my bedroom and sat on my bed lost in my thoughts about what just happened the competition Alex winning, Justin becoming the head of wiz Tec. My thoughts were interrupted by my phone vibrating I checked the caller ID it was my girlfriend Talia so I decided to answer it.
"Hey Max" The sound of her voice made me happier.
"Hey Babe what's up?" I asked trying to make her not notice my depressing tone.
"The question is what's wrong with you? You sound upset" I could hear the concern in her voice which made me smile.
"Nothing It doesn't matter now I can hear your voice"
"Aw! Max do you wanna hang out later?" Talia asked me.
"Sure meet me in the sub shop at 7"
"You know what would be cool to own your families sub shop I love that place"
"Well maybe you will one day"
"Maybe see you sweetie"
"Bye babe" I put down my phone and smiled.
Maybe it was a good think that I didn't win the wizard competition because if I did I would have to say goodbye to the one person I truly love with all my heart, My Talia.
