Through the Broken Looking Glass.
The Boy in the Rock.
"What do you think it is?"
"I don't know. What is it?"
"I asked YOU stupid." Poking the hard rock again, she frowned greatly. Whatever was inside wasn't coming out till they could at least break through the first shell.
"Well, Brigiin. I can't break through it." Laquina said placing her hands on her hips. Her blue colored bang blowing in the light breeze. Looking over at her brother, she smiled. He just couldn't give up trying to break the shell. Running her fingers over it again, she shivered.
"Laquina! I made a crack!" Brigiin said jumping up and down. Suddenly a large gush of air came out from the ball.
"Brigiin! Get back!" Laquina yelled grabbing her little brother up and running behind a rock. Peering over the rock, she opened her eyes wide. There was someone inside!
"Sis!! There's..."
"Shh. I can see that." She said covering her brother's mouth. Who knew if whoever was in there was a threat.
"Laquina, let me go! He's gonna fall!" Squirming away he ran towards the falling boy. Catching him, he placed him up against the giant rock. He smiled at him. "Come here! He won't bite!" Brigiin said waving his older sister over. She was much better when it came to strange things. Walking over slowly, she bent down. Frowning extremely deeply.
"He's
dressed...funny." She said placing her bang behind her ear.
"Reminds me of some outfit I saw in an old book once."
"He's
cool!" Brigiin said laughing at his sister. Suddenly, the boy
shifted. His eyes twitching a bit.
"Brigiin, back up."
Laquina yelled, her brother ignoring her. Opening his eyes, he burst
into a smile.
"Will you go penguin sledding with me?" Blinking, Brigiin shook his head.
"Uh...you can ride penguins." He said laughing. Taking a step back to give him some air, Brigiin pulled him up. "I'm Brigiin, that's my sister Laquina! Who are you?" The ten year old asked happily.
"I'm Aang." The boy answered smiling. "Hey, do you know where I am?" Looking around, Aang couldn't help feel slightly overwhelmed. There were buildings taller than he could imagine. Noises that weren't made by any normal animal or machine were everywhere.
"Your in New York city." Laquina said walking up and putting away her gun. "Where ya from?"
