Yo ho! I come bearing new Teen Titans drabble again. Yes, drabble. This means it's short 149 words methinks intentionally, and it lacks a distinct plot. It's a character profile of sorts, this time or again as it may be.
This one was born while watching "Betrothed" for about the 5th time. So without further ado…
Here's To the Morning
I wanted to wake up beside you someday, to see the glorious morning on your face. Someday, I wished to see your face without that mask, but I wonder now if such a thing is to be. It was to be expected that you would be upset, but I had hoped that perhaps you could find it in yourself to accept my decision as my friend.
If you cannot be happy for me, perhaps you should not attend my wedding.
You did not even have faith that I could defeat my sister for the crown. Oh how I wish that you would not underestimate me so in your attempts to protect, for I am much stronger than you would give credit for. But, I have still chosen you and my home over my planet and a fate I cannot choose.
Perhaps there is a husband for me on Earth.
I only hope that my decision to stay does not interfere with your abilities to first be my friend.
