You say that you're not a Prince
Or a Knight in shining
armor.
You say that you are a Vampire, a Pirate,
And have
nothing to offer me,
But Angel, my dear, sweet Angel,
Do you
truly not know?
Do you not see what you have already
Done for me, given to
me?
Do you not see the man that I see?
Is that why you still
swear
That you have naught to offer?
You saved my life, Angel.
You saved my life, my body,
But
most of all, my heart and soul.
You saved me, Angel.
Don't you see that yet,
Or is it that you give all the credit
To your idolized Captain Sparrow and Brendan?
I know they
tried,
But do you realize that
They would have probably died
If you had not shown up when you did?
Or could it perhaps be instead
That you still don't see it
Because you can't understand why
I so desperately wanted to
escape
The life of royalty?
Most girls dream of being a Princess,
But never I and not
because I was born one.
No, I never dreamed of that,
Because I
lived that dream --
And it was Hell.
What I laid in bed and dreamed of,
As both a child and a young
woman,
Had nothing to do with royalty
But everything to do
with love.
I dreamed of some one who
Would hold me when I was scared;
Kiss away my fears;
Protect me from my Father
So that his
hands never again would touch
And his eyes never again see
The
secrets of my body . . .
But most of all,
He would love me
Not for my money,
jewels, or looks
And not for my body, crown, or title
But for
me,
For my heart, my soul . . .
The real me . . .
Nothing
more, nothing less.
When I dreamed of him,
I never saw his face,
But now, at
last,
He has a face --
A face we both know quite well
For
you have given him that face
For you and he are one and the same.
Don't you see yet, Angel?
You are my hero.
You are my dream
come true.
You are the one who has saved me,
Breathed life
back into the empty shell I had become,
And granted every one of
my wishes.
You are my hero and my Angel
In so many ways.
You are my
Knight --
Well, maybe not in shining armor
But certainly in
black leather --,
And I love you,
My hero, my heart, my
dream,
My Knight, my soul mate,
My Angel!
The End
