I don't own Ender's game characters, or the battle school.
"How do they do it?" Felicia wondered, as she attempted to pick out her clothes. Ever
since her Mom had became a famous actress she had a fashion designer choose her outfits.
Sadly, the only available one was sick and she was not about to get germs all over her clothes.
Even the ones that hung in her closet with the price tag still on them.
"Does blue and yellow match?" She mused aloud. Her brother, Hank, knocked on her door. "Uh oh, you're talking to yourself again. We could get you a psychiatrist."Arghh, he was so irritating, though he didn't mean to be. He was completely sincere. They were so different, she was sure he was switched at birth. He was a straight A+ student, was a TOTAL geek, and in the chess club. She was a straight D+ student, popular, and knew that joining a club was like murdering any social ranking that you had.
Later that day during lunch, one of her friends named Allison said, "Ooh, who's the cutie?" Felicia was horrified. Allison was pointing directly at Hank! "That's my brother." Felicia replied. Allison gasped audibly." I didn't mean what I said before!" she exclaimed. Felicia sighed. It was nice that her friends always agreed with her, but she wished they wouldn't try so hard. Oh well.
BRINGGG! Uh oh, looked like it was time for class. She was so not excited. Mainly because it was time for P.E. and she hated smelly sweat! Every morning she slathered on her deodorant, but still wasn't sure if she reeked. Then again, if she did stink she wouldn't be nearly as popular. Wow, she was talking about the oddest things. She was getting off track, as her mom would say. "Whoa!" she heard someone shout. Multiple people inhaled loudly. "What could be causing all the commotion?" she pondered. Wait a minute… was that her mother? She couldn't be sure, because her mom changed her hair about every five seconds. But that way that she had of making everyone notice her was quite familiar. Why would her mom be there? Unless…no, her mother swore she wouldn't do anything as bad as the last time. Felicia trusted her mom mainly because; well it's hard to do anything worse than cheating on her husband.
"Hey sweetie-pie," her mom said.
"What happened this time?" Felicia asked, as if she had to ask that every day. Which in reality, she did.
"Oh, Felicia, whatever makes you think I did something wrong? You're such a pessimist!" her mom replied."Though we are in a bit of trouble."
Felicia face-palmed inwardly, and outwardly too.
"Don't look at me like that. I just saw this cute necklace, and nobody was there to assist me, so I took it. I planned on giving them the money back. Luckily, the store gave it to me in exchange for an autograph." Her mom smiled.
That was the first rule of being the offspring of a famous person, or being the famous person. If you get in trouble, offer an autograph.
"But," her mom continued" The guy wanted one other thing. For you to go to Battle School."
"What! I've heard of that school. It's full of losers."
"Too bad."
Felicia knew that she would end up there, no matter what.
