Takes place after the Bite of '87.

"So why are we here again?"

Shadow graoned. "We're supposed to investigate what happened to Mangle to make her bite the kid."

"Oh." Shadow and Rouge walked into the pizzeria.

A scream came from the office.

"THERE'S MORE OF THEM!"

"But how about we check that out first?"

When they got there, they found a person with a Freddy Fazbear head on.

"What are you doing?" Rouge asked.

"You're not animatronics?"

"No, we're not." said Shadow.

"We're supposed to figure why Mangle bit the kid."

"Well, be careful. She has really sharp teeth."

It took Shadow and Rouge a bit to find Mangle. She was hanging from the ceiling.

"How do we get her down?" Rouge asked.

"Leave it to me." Shadow used his rocket boots to hover in the air and grabbed Mangle.

He and Rouge started tinkering with the animatronic, looking for glitches and things like that.

When Rouge left for a minute, she heard a pained yell that caused her to run right back.

Shadow was cradling his left hand-if there was a hand there.

The blood and white cloth scraps on Mangle's mouth told her everything she needed to know.

Tails the Fox awoke to his phone ringing.

"What?"

Rouge's panicked voice came over the phone.

"Tails, get Sonic and get here."

Tails looked at the clock.

"It's 2 in the morning, what do you want?"

"The animatronic just attacked, what's her name, Mangle!"

Tails groaned. "Fine, I'll wake up Sonic and we'll be right there."

A few minutes later, Tails and Sonic were at the pizzeria.

Rouge came out and led them to an office.

"We can't find any of the animatronics, and Shadow's hand..." Rouge trailed off.

Tails and Sonic saw Shadow with wide eyes staring at a handless arm. It was his own.

Then he started hyperventilating.

And he fainted.

STOP! I need to say something. Shadow lost a hand to MANGLE, the same one who caused the Bite of '87.

He's lucky is was JUST a hand.

When he woke up, Shadow felt like his hand was oddly still there.

A metal hand where his hand should be.

"What happened to my hand?"

"I replaced it with a metal one." Tails said.

And that is how Shadow got a metal hand. In some of my stories (it'll say in the description) he will have a metal hand.
