Hey guys. So, I've been feeling a little depressed for some time. It's not because I put up the sequel for adoption. It's technically the things that are changing around me, such as friends, family, even life itself. So, as a way to relieve my stress, I decided to write a small poem about change, but have it in Mabel's POV. The reason why I use Mabel a lot in my one-shots is because I can relate to her and how she handles life lessons or changes. I can get a creative vibe from her when I write my stories on FanFiction. I can see myself a lot in her, so why not have her write this small poem for me. XD

This one-shot takes place during Mabel's last free summer. She's seventeen, almost eighteen in this fic, thinking about her path in front of her. She knows next summer will be short when she goes to college in early August and she has to try and accept life as it is. It's going to be changing a lot during her Senior Year and she doesn't know how it will go. She hopes it will all be okay, but no one really knows how things will end up for them...especially her. It's how she handles change will she be successful in the real world.

Here we go. Enjoy.

Change Happens For A Reason

A short poem by: Mabel Pines

Change happens for a reason.
There's a reason behind it all.
Change happens for a reason.
The real World is gonna call.

Ready or not, it's coming.
Senior Year, Prom, Graduation,
Our lives as we know it, will be starting.
High School will soon be done.

We'll blink our eyes and, WHAM!
Graduation Day has arrived.
The questions in everyone's mind, goddamn,
How will we all survive?

Change happens for a reason.
High School never lasts. However,
Change happens for a reason.
The memories will live with us forever.

No one wants to say goodbye.
No one wants to face facts.
But we can't hold back and let time fly,
We're all walking on the same tracks.

It sucks...life never gets easier.
College, stress, jobs,
It's all one big rollercoaster.
Heh, what are the odds?

As much as we all want free time,
Summer is short this season.
But life is never a straight line.
No wonder why change happens for a reason.

A/N: Thanks for reading! Hope you liked it. And to be honest, it helped me...I'm not really depressed or stressed as I was earlier. :)
