Everything was already over. They'd saved their loved ones and were now ready to leave.

"Let's breathe in, trying not to cry, and say our goodbyes..."-Summertime Record, Jin

Kido held Kano, carefully bringing a hand to cup his face. She strokes his back gently and holds his chest to her head. "Sorry." She whispers. It's barely audible, but clear. "I'm sorry. You've been so hurt for so long." Kido pauses and let's a tear escape. "It's okay. I'm here for you now. "

Kano lets out a pained wail. He's waited so long for her comfort. Kido brings her hand to pet Kano's rugged hair and her head moves to bury itself in his shoulder. Kano lets out a choked laugh. "I messed up a lot.."

He continues on with that broken smile that hid all his lies, "I did a lot of things I regret...I hurt people..I really am trash aren't I?"

Kido gives a gentle smile. "I screwed up just as much." A sigh is given. "The both of us...both misfits of this world..We're both trash."

She looks at him and they see eye to eye. She let go of the leader title, but just for a minute. Kido grabs a hold of Kano's clothes and her grip on him tightens. "Just don't let it happen again. Please don't be so sad...I...I love...you.."

Kano lets out a quiet laugh. "Yeah.." He wipes a tear and smiles at her. "Me too. I love you too Kido."

Kano feels her hands wrap around his neck and pull him closer.

At first he's surprised, he backs away slightly but then leans closer.

Kido drags her hand lazily from his chin up to run her fingers through his hair. "I've fallen in love with such an idiot.."

As soon as Kano's hands begin to reach up to her chin, Kido leans closer bringing their lips together. Kido's hands wrap around his head and neck to not let him escape. In understanding, Kano lets his hands rest at her waist.

Their kiss ends with a another laugh with a happy smile that makes Kano's heart jump in joy. "...Kano..Let's go home."

Kano nods in understanding. He knows. He knows he won't remember her. Once they reach the end of this red colored world, they won't remember anything. And everything they'd had known for ten whole years would disappear forever.

But they would find each other in the end.

They'd promised. They'd always be together. Memory loss or not, he wasn't going to break that promise. Just like how he found her back then, like how she found him wallowing in his pain,

Kano's not going to let Kido disappear.

Not now, not ever.

They'd find each other.

After all, Shuuya is the best at finding Tsubomi.
