Sorry for the long wait between stories! I've been having a horrible writer's block.

This is my first story focusing on this couple, so I hope I've done them justice.

Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter

Tilting her head to the side, she regarded the wall intently.

Wisps of hair fell across her face, in the most annoying way.

Frustrated, she brushed the strands back, her hand resting on her back. She'd been getting more back pains lately, possibly from all the strong kicks.

She was certain the inside of her stomach had to be bruised a rainbow of purples and blues.

"What are you doing love?" questioned her husband from the doorway.

The tall woman stood in their new nursery, just decorated in her vision.

Turning, Lily's face split into a serene smile.

"I just finished the wallpaper, you know for Harry's room. Did you know they actually have glue that's safe for pregnant women?" she murmured, absently rubbing her growing stomach.

James walked into the room, eyes widening in horror. A large whale theme repeated, cramming every aquatic animal he'd ever seen. The background was a violent, neon yellow.

"Is this something you actually like?" he slowly questioned, praying it was simply just some horrible joke.

Lily's lips pursed as she shrugged. "I liked it...god James you can be so RUDE!" she shouted, pushing past him and walking down the hall.

James let out a sigh, running his hand through usually well-behaved hair.

Taking one last look at the door, he closed the door to the nursery with a thud.

He'd known that a woman's emotions went haywire during pregnancy, but he didn't expect them to be considered insane.

Following after her, James watched as his wife opted sitting on the couch, for leaning against the wall.

"I think it's just a tad startling for a newborn Lils," he explained patting her head awkwardly.

Lily looked up at him, her eyes wet.

"It is, isn't it? I just get so carried away is all," she murmured as James grinned.

"Exactly! We should keep it simple...how about green? That way he'll think of you all the time!" James slowly suggested, glad his wife had misplaced her wand in their home.

Sniffling, Lily firmly nodded her head as she smiled, "I'm sure you can't wait till I give birth huh? I'm a complete cow, you know I didn't believe my mum when she said this would happen! I'm such a horr-"

James quickly cut off his rambling wife by doing the only thing he could do, he kissed her soundly.

Ivy eyes closed as Lily stepped away from the wall, pulling James closer. Her hands made quick work of his shirt as James eyes popped open.

His arms fell to his side as he stopped moving entirely.

An angry Lily glared at him, her arms folded across her chest.

"What's wrong?" she quietly asked.

James eyebrows drew together as he hesitantly smiled.

"I...you have a baby inside of you! What if I traumatize him?" he exclaimed loudly.

Lily stared at James blankly for a few moments before turning away.

James stared at the fiery hair, startled as she spoke.

"I'm only four months James. I doubt the baby is even going to notice," she explained dully.

James' face twisted behind her as he slowly removed his glasses.

"How about this? I can go pick up the gallon of paint and then we can watch a movie together?" he suggested.

Nodding her acceptance, Lily was taken by surprise at Jame's peck.

Looking over her shoulder, she gave him as wide smile as he backed out through the door; blowing a kiss.

Falling onto the couch, Lily sank into the cushions with a smile.

She'd really liked that wallpaper.
