Clark heard her crying while he was making his sweep around the city. He didn't know if she would let him in, but he had to try.

Lois tried to wipe her eyes as best she could. She didn't want anyone knowing that she was crying over a guy. She opened the door and let Clark in.

Clark sat on the couch with Lois holding her while she cried. Her most recent boyfriend has broken up with her.

Your parents say everything is your fault

Clark didn't need his acute hearing to hear Lois yelling at the General. They were arguing over Lucy again.

Lois was frustrated. Lucy disappeared again and the General was blaming her. She went straight to Clark with his open arms.

Clark stayed with Lois that night in the loft. He spent the entire night watching her sleep.

Lois was grateful that Clark was always going to be there to protect her. Any problems she had she didn't have to face alone anymore. Clark would be right there by her side.
