Yeah, I know. Another just because of the promo?
Yep.
I'm so emotionally distraught over this that I need to get all this angst out of my system before I try to write anymore.
So, timing yourself writing is funny.
Writing time:
9 min, 43 seconds.
That's why it's crap, PS.
Haha.
Enjoy?
Review?
Thanks, loves.
It'd started weeks ago. Clare had been rambling on the phone with Eli when she heard the doorbell. What she found behind the door scared her, but only at first.
Fitz had come back. Not only that, he was at her house. At first, he yelled at Clare about what her stupid boyfriend did to him, but he slowly sunk down onto the stairs in front of her house.
He was broken, and Clare could tell. He begged her to forgive him; befriend him. She told him that he needed to earn her trust, but maybe then.
Eli hadn't taken the news so well, though. He threw a stray glass from inside his room. Water went everywhere, and Clare felt as though her heart was the glass, and the water was her relationship with Eli.
And then it started. Eli was possessive. Now that Fitz was walking the halls again, he felt paranoid. He always had Clare on his hip, and once he saw Fitz give a friendly wave to Clare as they passed in the hallway, Eli broke.
He told Clare that they should leave for a few days. Get away so they could be together; just the two of them.
Really, it was a way to get Fitz away from Clare. Clare refused this, telling him she needed space.
"Eli, I love you, but you have to understand that Fitz is trying to change!" She stormed off from him when he refused her request for a break.
"He's going to hurt you. That's why I'm so protective."
That didn't change anything, though. He was still suffocating her, and she couldn't breathe.
That night, she went to the dance alone. Alli was confused as to why Clare wasn't with Eli.
"He's just keeping me attached to his hip so I won't get hurt. I need some space to have fun, Alli."
Alli felt for the pair, really. She had come back to Degrassi to find them holding each other in the hallways. She knew Clare was happy with Eli, and seeing her react this way made Alli shutter.
Eli called her as she walked from the dance. He told her that she broke a promise. She was supposed to stay with him forever.
"Just because I want space, Eli, doesn't mean I don't want to be with you."
But Eli did it anyway. He told her off, only vaguely remembering anything she'd said once his phone was shut. He couldn't do this anymore.
He pushed his foot farther onto the gas, closing his eyes to keep any emotion to pour from his eyes.
And then it happened.
