A/N: So, I've been working on a 1.7.10 modpack called Faecraft. It's kind of centered around fairies and magic, as well as having a lot of emphasis on exploration. And with all the music customization and other things I was doing with it, I felt inspired to make a story for it. And, unlike normal pack designers, who use stuff like Better Questing for their packs' stories, I'm going to write a story for it here.
I couldn't decide who I was. Was I Airdin MacCraith, the hunter from Erin Village, the man whom I believed I had been? Or was I Oberon Fairy-King, the mythical being everyone saw me as?
I looked down at the village below me, at the people who thought so differently from me. I was a stranger among my own kind. At what point did I lose so much of my humanity?
I looked towards the forest, where my new family was currently living. For indeed, we had become a true family in my eyes. Different creatures we were, and yet, in the time I had known them, I had become more in spirit like them than ever I thought possible.
I thought back to all that I had been through. I had battled terrible monsters, and seen the pits of The Nether themselves. I had made many friends, and created bonds that time cannot break. I have reclaimed my lost past, and built a new present.
And now, it was time for me to forge my future. Would I finally return to my human family, the people who I originally came from, from whom I had been separated for so long? Or would I remain with my fae family, those who had accepted me despite our differences, and gave me an identity when I had none?
How did I get here? How did this all start? I thought back, all the way back, to where it all began...
A/N: Alright, that's all I'm doing for now. This is just a short little prologue to set up for the story, and to get you interested. If this sounds like it could be a good story, then why not follow it? That way, you get notified when I do make more, and it'll let me know that you're interested.
To be honest, I don't really know where I'm gonna go with this story, but that's part of the fun in making it. Anyway, I hope you enjoy, and I'll see you in Chapter 1.
