"You have to go! I will take care of Szabo!" Zola yelled running back across the large arena. My eyes grew wide, not wanting to let her go.
"No!" Before I knew what was happening my feet were carrying me after the woman faster than I even knew possible. She spun around in time to see me collide with her abdomen.
"What is it?" Zola said, her voice taking on a softer tone.
"Let me go with you. I can help you." I said, begging the older woman. She laughed and flashed that smile that she only reserved for me.
"I'll be fine Kluke. But you my dear need to go with Jiro and Shu. They will protect you." She replied, rapping her long arms around my tiny torso. "I'll be back, I promise." With that she kissed my forehead and turned to leave once more. Before she was a foot away I grabbed her hand and pulled her back towards me.
"I love you." The words spilled out of my mouth, all jumbled together. It was the first time I had said it out in public. I could only imagine the boys faces.
"I know you do. We've talked about this. I love you as well babe. Here," She said, slipping off the king's ring. "While I'm gone, wear this. It will keep you safe." Zola slid it on my middle finger seeing as it was the only one it would fit on. A smile found its way onto my face. She swooped in for a quick kiss capture my lips in hers. Then she was off again, leaving me standing there. I am almost certain that I had turned all shades of crimson. "Make sure that when I come back, she's still in one piece!" Zola called to the boys. They just stood there, mouths agape, dumbfounded. And that's how she left us, the four of us frozen for one reason or another. She told me she loved me. And kissed me in front of everyone. Definetly goes into the folder labeled one of the best memories I have ever had.
