From Rats to Cats

The infected rat didn't eat the other rat right away. The new alien genetics that retired its own genetics raised its basic instincts up, and it was about to implement its animal urges.

"Eeee!" The female rat shrieked as the male rat got on top of her and began mating with her. "Eeee!"

The infected rat reached for her neck and silenced her until he was finished with her, spilling his infected seed into her womb. Then, he released her and let her run away. It wasn't like there weren't any other rats he would find later on. After all, he knew she wouldn't get far with her now carrying their offspring in her womb.

"Eeeeee!" The female rat shrieked from afar, followed by a splattering noise.

Several weeks went by since the death of Sil and her son, and the alien rat had gone on an intense mating spree with over a dozen female rats, siring probably several hundred half-alien offspring that would follow in their father's claws and mate and spawn more alien rats.

As it ensnared another female and began to mate with her, it didn't notice a much larger predator behind it and its later fling.

"Meow!" A stray cat went, catching the two in the unwanted act, and thought of only satiating its hunger. "Meow!"

In less than a minute, both the infected rat and its final victim were devoured by their natural enemy, eliminating its hunger for the time being. But they did more to the cat than just that.

Nobody except the animal police were looking into the mysterious case of several hundred dead cats with what could only be described as "exploded abdomens". The only thing each dead cat had in common besides this was that they were all female. But they were unlikely to find any culprit to charge with animal abuse. Not that there was a person to charge with this string of murders.

In the dead of the night, two weeks later, nobody was even the wiser to the howling of some cat in a back alley…or a black cat that ran out of the alley into the streets in search of another mate, unconcerned with its half-alien offspring that would mature enough to wander on their own into the world around them. There must've been at least eight kittens in each fatal birth from each of the mothers. If the number of cat victims were of three-hundred, the number of half-alien offspring was in the quadruple digits of twenty-four-hundred, scattered around, anywhere with abilities beyond the norm.

The black cat saw a Siamese in some house and had it on its mind now.

A/N: This could've happened, and I read a different variation of what occurred between Patrick and the two debutants in that hotel suite that helped in making me want to write this. So, now we know what happened with the rat.
