The revival of Integrity.

She had so much to live for, she had many hopes and dreams of a brighter future. It felt unjust for her to die at such a young age, the humans who had done these creatures wrong were the reason she had not been allowed to live a long, and wonderful life. She never blamed the ones who'd attack her, she was trespassing within the very place they had been cast away to, she was a human within a realm of banished monsters, of course they would seek her out, after all, they had a plan to escape, which required her very soul. Regardless of what she stood for, it seemed unfair. She was trapped in darkness, left with only her very mind for what would seem to be an eternity. It was torture, she was alone, and would be until the end of time. She wanted to be saved, to escape this void. The world was continuing on without her, as if she never existed in the first place. How was everyone? Has her family even noticed yet that she's missing? She can't even seem to recall her family, what they looked like, if she even had a home. All she can hold onto, is the memory of this underground world, and everyone in it. She held no hatred towards any of them, she had only wanted to make it home safe. However, a certain jovial Skeleton would take all of her hopes away from her, without a drop of mercy.

"Sorry about this, Kiddo', we have to make our way back to the surface, your soul will be the start of our future. It sucks, but you'll get a good rest, that much I can promise ya'. It's been a good time, though now it's time to say goodbye. Sleep well, Kid."

Those were the last words she remembers hearing, before feeling the dull, agonizing pain of several bones piercing her chest, having fallen forward into his arms, blood beginning to drip from her mouth as her body grew incredibly weak within just seconds, her eyes slowly falling shut as her face fell against his clothed torso, staining his iconic white shirt with the blood that dripped from her mouth and nose. It was intensely painful, like nothing she'd ever felt before, though everything blacked out for her after several minutes, her body going limp in his arms as she slowly slipped to hall of judgement's floor, before falling onto her side, her pulse having come to a slow end, as a beautiful blue light pulsated from her chest, a blue heart escaping her body, slowly making it's way towards Sans. Sans reached a skeletal hand towards the heart, engulfing it in a fist as he gave a solemn grin, slowly looking down at the bloodied body of the younger girl before him. She would be placed respectfully inside a coffin, right outside this hall of Judgement, in an isolated room. Despite the brutality of this act, there would always be a sense of respect for the souls taken.

With that, Sans leaned down and lifted up her body within his arms, the saddened grin never leaving his features as he carried her off, deciding she'd be cleaned up and bandaged before being placed in her eternal resting spot.

The last thing she remembers, is him saying goodbye to her. As if on cue, that's the moment she fell into her long, eternal rest. She wanted nothing more than to wake up, for all of this to be nothing more than a freak nightmare. With each passing day, the wish became more and more powerful. Despite being in this state, she felt as though her mind were crumbling away, her very sanity at it's peak. Trapped within her own consciousness, the young girl finally began to break down, mentally screaming and begging for another chance, to be whole just one more time, to have a final chance at a long, and happy life.

Within the underground world, at that very moment, her very soul escaped from it's barrier, making it's way swiftly towards the forgotten room that now had more than one coffin. The beautiful light of blue engulfed her coffin for a moment, returning within her very body. The void seemed to fade away, soon being able to open her eyes, though it took awhile for them to adjust. Her body ached, it felt as though she had been asleep for far too long. "Where am I?" She wondered, moving her arms upwards to touch at the roof of the coffin, though the lid seemed to move with ease, it wasn't locked or sealed shut. Recognizing this as a means of escape, she sits up and moves the lid off to the side, carefully getting out, attempting to do so quietly, however her body was weak.

Upon regaining herself out of the coffin, there was enough light to be able to see clearly, which came as a shock to her, as she noticed several other coffins in the same room just like the coffin she had just climbed out of. Was this, where they've kept her body all this time …? They've killed other humans it seems, too.

"How long was I in there …?"

Dread filled her very core. If she did have a family, would they even still be alive at this point? Has it been so long that nobody would even remember her? Her shoes seemed to be worn out, probably from her past within this underground hell, always being on the run, attempting to find her way out. Her body seemed to be in tact however, not rotted nor decayed, just incredibly weak. She was unsure what to do next. Despite finally being awake, she was fatigued, wanting to lay back down and rest, though she never wanted to sleep again, she refused to allow her eyes to fall shut, not ever again, not after being alone for all that time in darkness …

It was time for her to begin an escape plan, she knew she was near the end, as she walked out of the room, noticing the hall of judgement in the distance. Sans did not seem to currently be there, was it safe? Walking slowly down the walkway, she made her way into the long, familiar corridor. This was where her undoing had occurred, it seemed different though, almost peaceful. Birds could be heard from outside the gorgeous stained-glass windows. Walking towards a pillar, she slowly traces a finger against it, these were new, too. How much has changed since she's been asleep …? Maybe, the monsters found peace in living down here. No, that couldn't be the case, the other coffins beside her own was proof of this, a larger plan was in the works, that much was obvious. Though, dread filled her chest, she had gotten lucky this once, however if her soul is taken yet again, there will be no escaping that eternal darkness, and surely they would start to figure out that her soul had returned to it's original owner.

Feeling a knot form within her throat at this thought, she slowly slid down the pillar, resting her forehead against it as her breathing became forced. What could she do to escape such a fate …? She had to somehow return to the surface, however she had already failed the first time. What would she face if she continued forward? She had made it this far, however, within this very hallway, was where she lost everything, if anyone spots her, it could be the end for her, she was too weak currently to even have a fighting chance.

Taking in a deep breath, she sits there in silence, attempting to pull her thoughts together. It was possible to back track, instead of moving forward into the unknown, she began to wonder if she should move backwards into known territory. It should be easy to avoid being found by the others, she'd be a fugitive … although with that logic, where would she sleep, how would she obtain food? She was doomed down here, surely everyone would rat her out, they all hated humans … She'd surely be damned back to that void for eternity.

Feeling tears well up at the corners of her eyes, a small whimper escaped her quivering lips as she brought her wrist up to her face, attempting to be quiet despite the painful knot growing within her throat, wanting nothing more than to let out all of her emotions.

"Kiddo, you've only been back for a few minutes. Come on, grow a some back-bone. "

There was a voice coming from behind her, a voice that made her eyes go wide, her pupils shrink. If there was a time for her to break down, it was now. She knew she would not be able to beat him, especially in this state. She was going to be back within eternal darkness within moments, there was no stopping it. These monsters had some sort of plan, and it obviously involved doing away with any humans that find their way down here. There's no way she could get past him, from what she remembers of Sans, he was always one step ahead, both figuratively and literally.

"Sans ..."

She states silently, turning her face to the side to glance at him, her eyes meeting his face. It was apparent that she was worn out and unwell, after all she had been resting for many decades, she was lucky to even remember how to move or speak, despite her voice being nothing more than a whisper.

"Aw Kid, you don't look too great. There's no need to rush things, we'll talk things over a hotdog at Grillby's, waddya' say?"

There was his signature wink, before he began advancing towards her, placing a skeletal hand against her shoulder as his eyes slowly fell shut, shrugging his shoulders up a bit, before they eased back down, scratching at his ankle with the tip of his pink fluffy-slipper, seemingly to be entirely passive within this moment in time.

"…"

Standing to her feet, he lifted his hand away from her shoulder, beginning to walk through the hall of judgement with her following behind him, both his hands resting within the pockets of his hoodie. Upon stopping at the entrance however, he comes to a halt, looking at her through the corners of his sockets, as both went entirely black, the grin never leaving his face.

"Don't try to run either, it wouldn't be one of your smarter ideas, Kiddo."
