In another world, I might be called a master and mentor. But in World 13 of Runescape, I, Claytonius, learned that stepping into another world can change everything. I went from being an experienced guide to a dim-witted pilgrim – lost, stuck, and awaiting the arrival of the glorious and wiser ones.
It all began in the church at Lumbridge. I suppose it was a good place to be for one who was so apprehensive and full of fear. After wandering around the church for a bit, I was relieved to see a strong and wise warrior approach me in the middle of the church. Could it be him? Indeed, the experienced warrior was the one who was going to travel with me on my group quest. Then, after a few moments, a stunningly beautiful red-head approached the warrior and me. She was our other "quester" and together we formed the fellowship of the PLS.
It quickly became apparent that both she and the warrior were far wiser than me. The warrior instructed me to follow … and follow I did. He obviously knew his way around. We followed a path to a field full of white and black sheep. I tried shearing some sheep, but my inventory was full and by the time I would figure out how to drop something, the noble red-head had collected enough from the sheep. Although our task was simple, it took some time. This wasn't onerous, for it gave the fellowship of the PLS time to converse and become better acquainted. After shearing many sheep and meeting a farmer, the beautiful red-head gave the farmer what he was looking for. Our simple quest was complete and I, Claytonius, had moved from dim-witted apprentice to slightly less-dim-witted apprentice.
