Hello hello everyone! Guess what? I'M MAKING A STORY THAT ISN'T ABOUT OCS! OMG! It's a Yu-Gi-Oh story! i hope you all enjoy!

Edit: 2/8/14: Oh god, i re read this, So i edited it a bit

The sun shined brightly, signaling the start of a new day. It stirred several with its warm rays, along with a particular tri-colored Game King from his dreams and back to reality. After several blinks, he sat up and rubbed the sleepiness out of his eyes and with a yawn, a smile spreads across his face "Time to start a new day!"

Yugi Mutou, now sitting at the table munching on a piece of toast, had turned 18 a few months ago, though looking like a 14 year old with his short stature. He had changed his look a bit, now opting to keep his spiky hair into a low spiky ponytail with his blonde bangs framing his delicate, slightly chubby cheeks and large amethyst eyes. The rest of him had not changed much. He now draped his jacket over his shoulders, wearing a black leather tank top with his leather pants. His belt choker still fastened around his neck along with a pair of short leather boots and silver bracelets around his wrists completing his look. It seems he had not changed much in the last 3 years.

Now a senior in high school, he was quite popular due to his title of King of Games. He was still bullied quite a lot, but he had his friends to help him out. Speaking of them, his best friend, Joey had not changed at all! His blonde mop of hair still the way it was before and he still thought with his stomach instead of his head along with being one of the Top 5 duelists. Along with dueling, he joined the boxing clubs at school, which he immensely enjoyed, and was team captain! Still, he was had his snarky arguments with Kaiba which led the rest of them believe to they had some secret thing for each other.

Speaking of whom, Kaiba was as much of an asshole as ever, with some changes. He had joined the group but would vigorously deny that he would ever with those 'losers' as he dubbed them. He decided to grow out his hair out a bit and keeps his hair in a small ponytail that goes to his shoulder blades. Being a CEO took up a lot of time but he still would make time to hang out with the group, making the excuse that Mokuba wanted to spend time with them. The younger Kaiba had grown quite a bit and cut his hair to his shoulders. He would he;[ his brother whenever he has the chance since he matured as well as that one day he would take over Kaiba Corp, thus he wanted a head start on learning to be a CEO.

Tea had accomplished her dream to go to New York to learn dance. She had been accepted into a dance school and was leaving after graduation. She decided to grow her hair out and now it rests on her rear. Still physically beautiful, she had gotten over her infatuation and was currently dating her dance partner, who was going with her to New York. Being quite the optimist and peacemaker, she kept the group from getting into any unnecessary fights and the usual Joey vs. Kaiba fights. She had also joined the drama club with Tristan, who still was physically the same. Tristan had matured quite a lot. He had kicked up on his studies and now was one of the top 10 students! Still loving to joke and goof around, he now had a sense of maturity. He had also joined the boxing club with Joey along with getting over his crush on Serenity and began dating Duke.

Duke had really hit it off with Dungeon Dice Monsters and was busy most of the time, much like Kaiba. He had not really changed much, still as trusting and cool mannered as ever. Having also gotten over his crush on Serenity, he had been dating Tristan for the last year. As well, Serenity had gotten a body much like Tea's and had moved into Joey's apartment and was very happy being near her friends and spending time with her big brother.

Ryou had changed a bit over the years. He had his hair cut for some reason so it was long in the front and bangs and short in the back to his shoulders. He was still soft spoken but not as shy as he used to be and was much braver as well. Having always wanting to help people, he had decided to go to medical school to be a doctor. Ryou's eyes had thinned a bit but still big to represent his purity and innocence. Also, Malik had moved to Japan, not wanting to part with his precious motorcycle and his friends. His sandy blonde hair was now in a ponytail and hung against his back. He was still quite the smartass, having not changed at all over the years, but still very mature. There were times he would get homesick and miss his step brother, Odeion and sister, Ishizu but none the less, was very happy in Japan. He frequently would send letters, emails, postcards, and souvenirs to them. He had adapted well to Japanese life and lived in an apartment close to the Kame Game Shop.

During the course of the three years, Malik, Ryou, and Yugi had grown quite attached to each other and were rarely seen apart. The three could see in each other the same empty part of their souls. The separation from their yamis caused them unimaginable pain. The biggest difference between the three was that Yugi was so attached and had a severely close relationship between his and his precious pharaoh while Ryou and Malik didn't haven that relationship with their yamis. Even though they didn't, they did not understand why it hurt so much and began to think about why.

Ryou thought hard on why and figured it out why. Bakura had hurt him and his friends, would take control of his body all the time, but he believed Bakura did this all to toughen him up. When he thought even more, in the past, he was bullied a bit, but he had black spaces in his memories and realized that Bakura would take care of the bullies. He protected Ryou. He decided then, that if Bakura was still there, he would give him a second chance, for perhaps if Zorc had not controlled him and corrupted his poor soul 5,000 years ago, he would not have acted the way he did.

Malik had also thought hard and came to a conclusion. Marik was made of all of Malik's hate and negative feelings towards the pharaoh and his father, for haing to be a tomb keeper. Marik had taken all of his pain, hurt, hate, and despair and bared it all instead of Malik having to. He believed that the hate for the pharaoh had driven Marik insane…er…to cause him to do what he did. Malik could not help but smile and be thankful and grateful for everything Marik did for him, then deciding to give Marik a second chance if he was there with the land of the living as well.

Yugi walked out after finishing eating his toast and went over to his fellow hikaris, greeting the two as they arrive and the three all walk to school together. They chatted, smiled, and laughed as Malik complained about homework and the other two would laugh harder at the Egyptian's complaints. Life was good, not great, but still good none the less. Little did these hikaris know of the gift the gods were about to bestow onto them.

well that's it for now! The second chapter should be up soon! bye!
