Hi there. :3

So uh, this is my first story ever here on this website. I came here to improve my writing and all that good stuff...so if you could give me some positive feedback and constructive criticism, that would be awesome.

Of course, I don't own Warriors. Erin Hunter does. Oh, and some things in the story, such as the names and descriptions of Ashfur's and Ferncloud's two siblings, are completely noncanon and just came from my imagination. thanks'

Catch me if you can!"

Ashkit giggled as she chased his sister Squirrelkit around the camp, with Fernkit and Nightkit trailing close behind him. This was favorite game. As Squirrelkit began to slow down from exaustion, Ashkit reared up on his hind legs and pounced, landing on top of her with accurate prescision. "Got you, you pesky dog!" He said, playfully clamping his jaws around her neck but not biting. A convincing whimpering sound escaped from Squirrelkit's throat, and her eyes fluttered shut as she fell to the ground, pretending to be dead.

Fernkit and Nightkit's eyes widened. "Did you see that, Fernleaf?" Nightkit mewed to Fernkit. "Ashfang just killed a dog!"

"He deserves to be leader!"

"Yeah!"

"Ashstar! Ashstar! Ashstar!" The two yowled in unison.

Ashkit blushed a little, then stood proudly. "It is my honor to become ThunderClan's leader today. Tonight I will travel to the Moonstone to receive my nine lives. But first, I must choose a deputy. Nightfall, come up to the-"

"What are you doing?" Brindleface asked as she padded over to her kits. "It's time to go to sleep, you know. Even the greatest warriors need their rest."

"But I've just been appointed leader!" Ashkit complained. Then, puffing out his chest, he said, "I killed a dog."

Brindleface glared at Squirrelkit, still laying on the ground in mock death, then back at Ashkit, Fernkit, and Nightkit. "Death is not something you should play about. It is a serious matter. Ashkit, I don't ever want to see you pretending to kill your sister again. Now, go to bed." She turned around and stalked off into the nursery.

"Okay, Brindleface..." Ashkit murmured sadly as he followed her and his siblings to the nursery, tail drooping.
