'I liked when my fingers were entangled with yours, and my head was on your chest listening to your heartbeat. It made me feel like at that moment, nothing bad could touch me. I wish I could stay in your arms forever.'
Arthur had everything planned out. He was going to take his girlfriend of three years into his dormitory and reveal his true feelings for her; giving her the ring he had placed in his pocket minutes before.
Walking into the small cubical of a dormitory, Molly wondered what Arthur could possibly want out of her. She had given him a certain thing already. [Though they hadn't gone all the way, per se.]
"Molls, I've been wanting to ask you this for quite some time," Arthur started.
"Wait, Arthur…Can I say something to you?" Molly interrupted as she nervously looked up at her boyfriend, getting a reluctant nod of agreement in response. "I'm kinda sorta in love with you," She started, sounding like a child with how she had worded what she had just said. "I like it when my fingers are entangled with yours, and my head is on your chest listening to your heart. It makes me feel like at that moment, nothing bad can touch me. I wish I could stay in your arms forever." Without even saying anything, Arthur bent down on one knee, took out a velvet box and opened it, revealing a golden ring. With what Molly just said, there really wasn't anything left for him to say.
That moment was what started a beautiful relationship that lasted a lifetime.
