Doing something nice to someone's hair wasn't always Night's strong point. He'd sit in the bathroom and watch his teacher do her make up and throw her dark hair up into a tail, however it wasn't something that he had to do for her. He thought it looked nice, but that was because it was her doing. God forbid the day he actually helped her…not like she really needed help though.

He always figured that when his Daughter's first day of school came, he'd be able to throw her dark hair up into a tail and that would be that. But it wasn't that simple; not for this demon.

Noriko needed a haircut, for one thing. It had gotten a bit long and stringy. One of the maids offered to do a quick trim, but he wouldn't let her, especially since it was her first. He'd taken the scissors and took it to the child's hair to cut about an inch or so off. Though, it turned out to be uneven and sloppy and one bit of her hair touched her chin while the other touched her shoulder. When the maids offered to help again, he shook his head, and continued to tie up the girl's hair.

Of course, the little half-demon was completely oblivious to the fact that her Touchan had completely sabotaged her hair. She had actually thought it was cute when he held up a mirror to her. The lopsided hairdo had been lazily put up into a pony tail that hung from one side while the rest of her hair hung out in separate chunks on the other.

When Monaka came out from the other room, fumbling with an old camera, she nearly gasped when she noticed what had happened to the toddler. Her daughter's clothes were fine, but the hair had thrown everything off so much that even the maids were too afraid to mention it to the man of the house. There was no telling how he would react, so when Monaka opened her mouth to say something to her husband and grinning child, the maids quickly shook their heads. It was probably a good idea to just let this one slide…

Monaka would definitely have to fix the poor girl's hair when she returned from class. A new picture after that was probably a good idea as well.
