Kids weren't supposed to die. Not even when they were ninjas in the middle of the wars. Teachers were never supposed to have to burry their students, it was supposed to be the other way around. But here he was staring at the gravestone with a hand on Kakashi's shoulder and an arm around Rin's as she tried to contain her tears. There were many white carnations on his grave, he was a good kid. As Kakashi walked forward and put his treasured goggles on the grave he heard a few sobs from the numerous Uchiha that came. He squeezed Rin tighter around the shoulders as he looked at his remaining students. No, kids weren't ever supposed to die.

Why was seven so unlucky for me? he thought not for the first time. He was wandering around the village even though he was supposed to be meeting with his team, they were used to it by now. He had just come from visiting their graves, he had done that for each since they died. Flowers on one grave, polishing the goggles on another, and just sitting at the third and remembering all the good he did for everyone. His current team wasn't exactly perfect either. They were finally back together after more than two years apart and Sai wasn't fitting in great. It didn't help that he insulted everyone and mocked their devotion to their old teammate. He still remembered carrying Naruto back that rainy night, wondering if he would be ok-not physically but emotionally-and if the Sakura would ever get over her crush. Could the two ever close the old wounds that Sasuke caused?

There were too many graves. He only visited two, but there were far too many for others. He had paid his respects to his dad and teacher and mourned the loss of Sasuke, even though he wasn't dead, and started walking to the ramen shop. Some days it was better than others, nothing would ever replace the hole he left-especially in Sakura's heart-but still, some days it was better. Like today, a beautiful sunny day, with fresh flowers on graves and the remaining day spent with his friends at the ramen shop. Maybe someday there would be a team seven whose members were happy and together until they died at a ripe old age. It was unlikely, since they would be ninjas. But maybe the next generation would have better luck than the last two did. Whistling a haunting melody he strode down the path to his friends and his future.

Yes it is a sad thing, but I do not own Naruto.
In case you hadn't noticed-the first one is about Minato, the second Kakashi, and the third Naruto. Three generations in team seven fated to disaster.
