Thorax has been in the Crystal Empire for about 3 weeks and everyponynow trusts him. Spike comes to visit him every week. Twilight comes with him to see Flurry Heart. And Starlight comes to see Sunburst. Thorax was pretty happy being withtheponies.
But what the ponies didn't know, was that he was a traitor, BIG TIME.
"Wow guys! I can't believe I've been staying here for so long! It feels like I've been here for a year. And I'm finally being fed!" Thorax said happily. Fluttering around the royal family, Spike, and Starlight.
"Glad you like it here! Having you is such a joy to Flurry Heart! She loves watching you turn into different ponies" Princess Cadance said.
"Glad to be helping you guys when you're busy. I hope I can help you guys forever!"Thorax said, he frowned after saying that
Twilight noticed his frown. "Thorax? Is anything wrong?" She asked.
Thorax froze. He stood silent fora second. Then he finally spoke "Oh nothing...I just..." His voice trailed off. Not knowing what to say. He finally thought of something. "I just hope that I'm notbotheringyou..." He said nervously, frowinga
bit.
Cadance was just about to speak until Thorax interrupted her. "I-I have to go" he said, running off to his new room.
Everypony was silent. "Should I check on him?" Spike asked, looking a bit sad.
"Spike, I think you should. I've noticed that he's been acting like this for the past few days. He's always been in his room, we sometimes hear him talking and we'reworried about him" Shining Armour said. Spike looked at him and nodded,and
headedoff to Thorax's room(which was somewhere in the castle)
Everypony started looking at each other. Princess Cadance nervously smiled
"You don't think?" Cadance asked
Everypony looked at each other again. This time, they all smiled nervously."Let's hope not" Twilight said, still nervously smiling and gritting her teeth.
Meanwhile
"Thorax? Where...or...What are you?" Spike asked, he thought maybe Thorax turned into an object. He checked everything in Thorax's room. Checking if Thorax had turned into an object. Maybe he went for a stroll or a fly. Spike thought. He camebackto
the others. "I didn't see him anywhere" he said "I even checked every object in his room"
Twilight looked at him. Looking a bit worried. "Spike...You don't think..." Her voice trailed off.
Spike thought for moment. Then he gasped.
While THAT was happening
"Whew, he left. Now, where is that...oh there it is!" He said, looking at a small device, in the shape of a circle. He turned it on.
"Thorax...You finally called, what took you so long?" A voice came from the small device that the little Changeling was looking at. "I thought you wouldn't call back" the voice said again.
"Very sorry! Spike came over to visit today! Y'know, the dragon I've been talking about" Thorax said.
"Right" the voice hissed "Now, you mustn't forget about tonight"
"Of course I won't! I promise!" Thorax said.
"Good"
The circular device turned off. Thorax sighed and went to sleep. He needed a lot of strength for tonight, which also means a lot of rest.
