World of Chances

Eggy breakup
Ella's POV
I hated Iggy, now, at least. He had hurt me so many times—always picking Nudge over me. He'd lied to me about him and Nudge. He said that she was like a sister to him. He never told me that he and Nudge were soulmates. He never told me that Nudge had imprinted on him. He never told me that he and Nudge were destined to be together. He had me believing that he was single. It just wasn't fair. He was no longer important to me. We were through. I would never get hurt, the way he hurt me, again. I wasn't going to see him, ever again.
"You've got a face for a smile, you know. A shame you waste when you're breaking me slowly. But I've got a world of chances for you. I've got a world of chances for you. I've got a world of chances; chances that you're burning through.
Iggy tried to reason with me, to get me back, but he wouldn't. I wanted nothing more to do with him. We were finally through. I was going to get over him as fast as I possibly could. When I went to tell him that we were over, I left him a letter.
"I've got a paper and pen. I go to write you goodbye and that's when I know. I've got a world of chances for you. I've got a world of chances for you. I've got a world of chances; chances that you're burning through."
I sighed and knew that I no longer had any faith in Iggy, at least not compared to the faith in him that I once had.
"Oh, I'm going my own way. My faith has lost its strength again. And oh, it's been too hard to say. We've fallen off the edge again. We're at an end. We're at an end."
Iggy had had a chance, no, a world of chances, to be the one for me, but he blew it, big time. He was never going to be the one, not now, not after he hurt me so much.
"Maybe you'll call me someday. Hear the operator say 'the number's no good and that she had a world of chances for you. She had a world of chances for you. She had a world of chances. Chances that you were burning through. Chances that you were burning through. Chances that you were burning through.'"
Iggy may have been good-looking, but he just wasn't the one for me. Apparently Embry was the one for me and not either Shaw Akers or Iggy.
"You've got a face for a smile, you know."
The End
