I don't own anything.I've noticed the same actor's appear in the show. Some play the same character's every appearence and other's play different character's. This is a little take on that fact.
Steve Sloan and his father, Mark, sat at the table on the balcony of the beach house, talking about how Mark had confused one patient for another, and how embarrased Mark had felt about the incident.
"You know, when I first saw Alex, I thought that I knew him", Steve admitted. " Wasn't he not a kid called Tommy?"
Mark shook his head. "I think that he must have a double out there".
"He must have", Steve replied.
"Everyone has", Mark told his son. " I have been told that I look like Dick Van Dyke".
Steve looked at his father. " The actor?"
"Yes".
Steve shook his head. " I don't see the resemblance".
"I thought a detective friend of your's; the one with the father in need of a transplant, was a paramedic who killed a man who attacked her", Mark admitted.
Steve took a drink of coffee from his coffee cup. " I did think that Caitlyn Sweeney was a woman who was pretending to be blind when her husband was killed".
Mark frowned. "Caitlyn Sweeney. There's a name that I don't want to hear again".
" You ever noticed how Carter Sweeney looked like a guy from 'Ellen'?" Steve asked.
Mark smiled. "Doppleganger".
"And a woman once argued that Jess was Michael J Fox's brother", Steve told him.
" Really?" Mark was surprised. "I once got told that he was in a movie with Kylie Minogue".
Steve laughed. " He must have more than one double out there".
Mark took a drink of his coffee. "You know when we went to see 'Frontier dad' being filmed, I am sure that I recongized the actor from somewhere".
"That would be from TV, dad".
" No, I mean, I am sure that he looked like the guy from the boxing club. And the biker video thing", Mark said.
Steve nodded, " That's where I thought I knew Alex from".
"Maybe they are related in another life", Mark teased.
" I thought Tanis was the daughter of a mobster", Steve admitted.
Mark nodded, "They did look very much alike".
Steve looked at his father again.
" You really got told that you look like Dick Van Dyke?", he asked. "The Mary Poppins guy?"
Mark nodded. "Yes".
Steve took another drink of coffee. " No way, Dad" he said. "I don't think you look anything like him".
