A quirk of fate
Lemillion smashed through the wall with a single punch. He could have phased, but the building was a ruin anyway, and a good display of strength often put most villains in the mood for immediate surrender. After all, when faced with the Symbol of Peace and the power of One for All, few evildoers could keep their combative spirit. There was something about sheer brute destructive power that simply worked better than any clever Quirk.
As it turned out, there was nothing left to do. The two villains lay on the floor, unconscious. There were no visible wounds - it probably was the work of sleeping darts. What it was not was the work of a Quirk - this, Lemillion knew all too well, because he knew who was responsible. The man in a dark costume, his head covered except for his mouth and a rebellious head of green hair, hunched in a corner, grinning.
"Hi, Deku." said Lemillion.
"Hiya, Mirio." answered back the man. "Late on the job as usual, eh?"
The hero sighed. It was unnerving enough how good this vigilante was at being where he was going before him without him also randomly finding out his secret identity.
"I won't even ask you how you know that." said Lemillion, dryly. "Or anything, for that matter. I swear, if I didn't know better, I'd say you have an omniscience Quirk."
"It's called a brain, Mirio." the man got up and cracked his neck. "Something Nature hasn't been as stingy with me as it has been with... other gifts. Can't say the same of these two idiots."
"I'll take care of them. And you know, I should take care of you too."
"Will you?"
Lemillion sighed. "No. I know it would be my duty, but I also know you mean well. And you're pretty good at hero work. I don't want to put you in jail. I would just you rather... stop."
"That I can't do." the other said, serious. "I can't any more than you can."
"It's different for me. I am a hero. It's my duty."
"And what made it your duty to become a hero, huh?" he spread his arms. "People are hurt. People die. Should I let them? Why should I sit back and do nothing if I know I can do something? Just because I wasn't chosen by Nature? Or because I wasn't chosen by him?"
Lemillion shivered. "I don't know what you're talking about'."
"Of course you do. You know, it took me a long time, after realising the truth, to stop hating you. For ending his career. For killing him."
"All Might is still alive, you know."
"You know what I mean."
Lemillion shook his head and grabbed one unconscious villain per hand. "Just follow my advice. I would rather not see you any more."
"But you will." said Deku, with a grin. "Because I am here."
