The beginnings of K.K. Fabrications
It all began in the lab of a company called K.K. fabrications. A rather new company on the persocom market, they are known for their elegant tall coms that are targeted at businessmen and young males from the ages of thirteen to twenty five. There sales over there short history has been quite brisk, even outselling P.N.C. models in some areas!
The person behind all this is a young woman of 27 years name Kiama Kamaki. She founded F.F. when she was 22 as a research firm to advance the A.I. or artificlal intelligence, of persocom. At first she had little positive results in any of her experiments but they had a breakthrough in the form of a program that let persocom, in a way, think for them selves. In reality the program only expanded the 'coms amount of choices in which to react to any given situation. But due to the immense amount of options given by the program it gives the illusion of free will and independence
The program led to a line of persocom that came to be known as "My lovely". The entirely female line sold very quickly and brought success to K.K. at last. Naturally K.K.'s success led many of there competitors to try to copy the "My lovely" series "free will" program, but because Ms. Kamaki was the only person who knew how the program worked all the imitators programs failed and the lines they were designed for were scraped. Because of the success of the "My lovely" series Ms. Kamaki was now financially secure and could be allowed to continue with her work on persocom A.I. She also hired a team of 5 scientists to help her develop a true freewill program for persocom. Each of these scientists was the best in the field of A.I. and the time and all helped hasten the development of K.K.'s next project. This project later became known as "Shinka" or evolution.
