Author Notes: Unpretentious little story where I tell what happens immediately after Liam asks Annie to marry her. I'm Italian, but I liked the idea of writing this story in English, so I apologise if maybe I made some mistakes.
The Real Ending.
Engaged! Liam and I were finally engaged…And soon we'll be married, Annie thought, still in disbelief. Finally, the end of her book was no longer a fantasy but had become the reality. Finally, as well as the protagonist of her book, she also had her happy ending.
"I don't want anymore to leave for the promotional tour of the book," she told to Liam. He looked at her surprised.
"But Paris and…" But she didn't let him finish his sentence.
"Paris right now can wait. All I want now is to go home and celebrate with my friends the good news."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, I'm sure." Liam smiled; embracing her strongly.
"As you wish future Mrs Court!"
"Annie Wilson Court sounds great don't you think?" Asked her.
"Are you kidding, right? Seems the name of a law firm!" Naomi interjected.
"Don't listen to her! It sounds beautiful," Liam said kissing her.
"Well ... I'd like to stay, but I have a plane to catch. Just promise me that you'll not make the engagement party before my return."
"Don't worry about that. What fun would it be to organise a party where there isn't Naomi!" Exclaimed Annie.
"You're right Annie. I'm the soul of any party!" Naomi said haughtily, and all three guys laughed amused.
About an hour later, Annie and Liam returned home. They were standing at the entrance when Liam took Annie in her arms.
"Hey... what are you doing?" Annie asked.
"You mean you don't know? It's a tradition to carry the girl across the threshold."
"Yes, but only when you're already married."
"It'll mean that I do it again, once married," he answered him, coming into the home.
"Welcome back to our home, honey." Annie smiled at that words she was finally back home. Or better in their home.
