You know those stories you were told as a child. The ones about monsters that live in the deepest darkest place in the world, well this is one of those stories...kind of. Konoha forest was one of those stories because it was to be one of the most dangerous place to every have existed but that never stop anyone form going into it. It's been said that those who have been banished, disowned and even those who are just outcastes reside in this place. It is home to many poisonous plants and other animals that are as friendly as said residents. This is the tale of how a young kitsune came face to face with one of those very residents and the tales that followed after. To think it all started with a simple bet…..well more like a dare.
Naruto Uzumaki was a small kitsune demon who lives alone in his tiny apartment not far from the center of Konoha Village. The walls were pale white with ramen and band poster strewed over the walls. The floor was littered with cloths, empty ramen containers, scrolls and something fuzzy and green maybe purple you couldn't quite tell in the back corner that if you stared long enough you'd probably think it moved. The streets outside where quite for now thus letting the little fox sleep peacefully for once in his life but the fox couldn't for his dreams were not so peaceful.
*DREAM*
"Hello" Naruto called into the darkness of the forest, stumbling slightly as he walk blindly, there was a cold breeze blowing through his golden hair making him shiver. "Is anyone there" he called again louder this time hoping to get an answer; he was met with silence yet again. Naruto gave up calling and kept walking through the dark; he saw a light 'a break through the trees' he thought and began heading towards it until he felt someone grab his wrist dragging him away from the light. "HEY!" he yelled "Let me go you Teme" Naruto struggled trying to pull his arm away but whoever it was, wasn't about to let him go anytime soon from how tight they were holding him. The figure stayed silent but turns to glare at the small fox, his blood red glowing in the darkness tugging harder on his wrist. Naruto gasp fear clenching him as he struggled harder to get away "let go! I Said Let go you bastard" he shouted. The figure growled low and deep making the little fox pause momentarily before pulling harder in fear of what might happen next "STOP" the figure growl tightening their grip on his wrist. Naruto yelped in pain whimpering, his ruby red tail curling around his left ankle while his ear flatted against his golden hair. The figure sighed loosening said grip slightly before sliding their hand from the kitsune's wrist down to intertwine their fingers together "come" the figure demanded tugging at their interlocked fingers. Naruto nod to afraid to say anything else and let himself be dragged away. They'd been walking for a while to the point that Naruto's eye had stared to slowly adjust to the darkness of the forest. He could see the outline of the figure but still couldn't tell where he was or being taken. The stranger was taller than him by a good foot or so, his ears Naruto notice were slightly larger than his but his own tail was longer than the strangers and dark in color. The figure was lean as far as he could tell and strong from the way he was drag earlier and the bruise that would no doubt be imprinted on his wrist. "uhhmm" Naruto started to speak but the stranger stopped suddenly causing the little fox to crash into the figures back, "Hey what was that for you pri-". The figure spun naruto around causing his back to be placed firm against the strangers chest, their hand had moved to cover his mouth while moving their head down to speak into his fuzzy ear. "Run, I need you to run now" Naruto tilled his head up slightly "what?" his voiced was muffed due to the hand covering his mouth. The figure glared into the dark forest in front of them growling louder with each second, Naruto whimpered clenching the strangers arm as a hiss range through the air, the strangers grip on the little fox tighten as he snarled. They turn pushing Naruto gently away grabbing his face between their hands and lightly kissed his forehead. The hissing grew louder as if it was coming closer, Naruto closed his eyes not wanted to leave the stranger alone to face whatever was coming. He felt safer with them despite his actions earlier, "go" it was spoken so softy he almost didn't catch it "NO!" Naruto begged he didn't want to leave. "Go!" the voice roared this time they were not asking, the hissing was closer now and the figure spun back around growling into the darkness. "but-"he started "go Naru" Naruto didn't know how the Stanger knew his name but he took off in the opposite direction as fast as his feet could take him. He continued to run hoping the stranger would okay, he didn't understand his need to be close to them or what was chasing and why. Naruto stopped finally to catch his breath, resting his hands on his knees as he did but froze as a hiss sliced through the air. "no" Naruto whispered before something wrapped around his ankle "I've caught you know little fox" an sickening voice breath into the air, "Naruto, Naruto!" a familiar voice called. "NARUTO WAKE UP YOU BAKA!" the voice called again.
*DREAM END*
Naruto gasped sitting up in bed smacking his head against whoever had been calling his name. "Kami Naruto what the hell" the voice yelled, the kitsune blinked rapidly everything slowly coming into focus "kiba?" he asked tilting his head "wha-what are you doing in my house more specifically my bedroom you dumb mutt!" Naruto shouted glaring down at his best friend who was holding his head in pain. "Naruto its passed 10 you were supposed to meet me an hour ago in konoha square remember?" kiba own hazel eyes narrowed as he glared back. The kitsune curse jumping out of bed, grabbed some cloths rushing into the bathroom to shower and change. Kiba sighed getting up off the floor and headed to the kitchen to stared making ramen from for the idiot when he got out. 15 minutes later Naruto came out of the bathroom dressed in black shorts with red paw prints up the left side and an orange t-shirt that had a black swirl on the front, he had put on black convers and a black vest with a red swirl on the back and a little fan over the heart that if you weren't looking for it you wouldn't have even seen it. Kiba narrowed his eyes moving closer to look at it "umm kiba" Naruto said confused watching his friends acting all weird "th-that I've seen that before and I can't remember where." The dog demon said pointing to the crest on his chest." What? You dumb mutt what the hell are you talking about' Naruto grumble moving pasted his friend to eat the ramen on the counter " the weird fan thing on your jacket idiot" kiba said watch over to the kitsune and waking him on the back of his head. " what the kami was that for" Naruto shouted narrowing his azure eyes " for call me a dumb mutt you baka" kiba said rolling his hazel eyes while walking out the door. "im not an baka" the kitsune Hollard following the inu demon out of his house toward the village center.
The village center was full of demons and life as I always is on a Friday afternoon, the sun was high in the sky without a cloud in sight. There was a warm breeze blowing throw the square wafting the smell of fresh fish, meat and even vegetables. Store owners were greeting people and everyone was having a good time except for our poor little kitsune, as beautiful as this place was he knew the villagers were never fawned of him and he could never fathom why that was. When he was younger we played pranked on most of them and sometimes did destroy merchandise but he always apologies and he'd grown up, he wasn't that little kit who was desperate for attention as he once was. He had tried over the years to see if any of them would forgive him but alas he was ignored, shunned and even beat just for try after years Naruto finally decided that it didn't matter anymore. If they didn't like him then that would be there problem and not his but no matter how hard he tried sometimes it was hard. Today was one of those day kiba chatted aimlessly in his ear as they walked down towards the south part of the village, demons where glaring and whispering to each other as they passed. Mothers grab their children and told them to stay away and men where curse and insulting him. Naruto sighed looking down holding in tears; he wouldn't cry in front them and give them the satisfaction of knowing they hurt him. "It's okay naru. ignore them, I'll always protect you" a soft voice drifted through the wind making him feel safe and warm inside, his head snap up azure eyes browsed through the demons to see where it had come from. Naruto was sure he'd heard it before but he couldn't place where but it made him feel like he belong for the first time and completely took his attention away from the glaring villagers. "Oi, NARUTO!" Someone shouted in his ear causing the kitsune to yelp and jump a foot in the air "what was that for you stupid mutt!" Naruto hissed holding his left ear narrowing his azure eyes at his best friend who was laughing his ass off. "Well idiot next time you should be paying more attention idiot" kiba said still breathing hard from laughing; the kitsune scowled turning to stomp away from the breathless dog demon. "Oh nar, no need to be a big baby about it" kiba teased catching up to the kitsune and grabbed him arm; Naruto jerked his arm away hissing "do touch me". Kiba stop hazel eyes widening "nar are you feeling okay?" he said softly, the kitsune eyes softened "I'm sorry kiba I had a weird dream last night and it kind of freaked me out" naruto's eyes drifted to the ground sighing. The inu demon nodded folding his arms across his chest "it's okay baka, it was just a dream no need to go all warrior bitch princess on me" kiba tease pitching the kitsunes cheeks. "Kiba shut up you stupid mutt" the little fox yelled slapping kibas hands away "don't tell me to shut up Naruto, your being a baby because of a stupid dream. "it wasn't stupid, you dumb mutt" the kitsune shrieked loudly "okay fine" kiba sighed holding his hands up in a calm down position "what was the dream about the nar?" .Naruto sighed finding the ground suddenly very interesting "umm I was in a forest and umm so-someone was chasing me and uhh yeah oh and there was this guy I think who was taking me somewhere before I was attacked" the kitsune muttered the last part. "So you had a weird sex dream about some guy and now you're freaking out why" kiba asked look at the little fox like he had three heads"I mean I tell you about me and neji all the time, so I'm not really surprise about you being gay" kiba chuckled "NO! I didn't have a weird sex dream! You dumb dog. I was being chased through a forest! Do you ever listen to me and I don't want to hear about you and that leopard, you just don't know when to shut up" Naruto screamed at the top of his lungs his face turning bright red. Some of the demons around shook their heads at them while other glared, moms covered their children ears. Kiba sighed "nar you making a scene….again" the kitsune Glared at his best friend "I don't care, you started it and you already know I'm gay dumbass" he hissed through clenched teeth. "Okay fine you wanna prove that you're not scared or that you have weird sex dreams" kiba grinned evilly raising his eyebrow. Naruto hesitated for a moments staring at his friend taking in the his chocolate brown hair blowing in the slight breeze, the mischievous gleam in his hazel eyes or the way the red triangle tattoo on his face stretch with his grin. The kitsune narrowed his eyes setting his jaw "'yes I do dog breath" he growled out, kiba frowned at the nickname but grinned "well then you're gonna spend a week in konoha forest" Naruto froze the blood slowly draining from his face as the words started to sink in. Something's click in the blonde kitsune's head making him snap like a rubber band" ARE YOU FUCKEN KIDDING ME YOU MUTT, YOU WANT ME TO FUCKEN DIE!" Naruto screamed his voice going at least 3 octaves higher. Everyone in the village square turned to glare at the young fox making him cringed away wishing he could disappear, kiba laughed shaking his head "idiot you're not going to die" Naruto face turned to face his friend "3 days" he spat through clench teeth. The dog demon stop for a moment thinking about it then nodded "okay nar, I bet you can't send 3 day whole days in konoha forest alone" the blonde fox nodded kicking some dirt with his foot. Hazel eyes looked up to meet azure blue that scream fear throughout them, the brunette smirked 'just to make sure' kiba thought "naruto I dare you to spend 3 days in konoha forest unless you're a sacredly fox. Naruto growled louder his eyes started to bleed amethyst red "NO IM NOT" he ground out then started to smirk " dog breath your talking to Uzumaki Naruto the greatest demon that ever lived, so why would I be scared" the kistune laughed as his eyes returned to their normal azure blue. The brunette inu demon sighed shaking his head at his friends complete and otter dipolar personality "alright then I'll see you tomorrow at 8 don't be late "he turn waving to the blonde kistune as he walk away." Kuso what have I got myself into" Naruto though sourly as he made his way home to pack.
