A skeleton popped out: A serious recreation by BIttergamer1886

Despite what most people say, I find it relaxing driving with towers of trees at my side as I speed down the asphalt. The hum of the engine, the dark night sky, revealing it's wondrous bounty of stars. My vision is getting blurry… I could even fall asleep right no-

All of a sudden, the engine made a loud "KA-THUMP" and slowly began decelerating. Suddenly awoken by the loud noise, I quickly steered the vehicle to the shoulder and turned on the hazard lights. I unbuckled myself from the restraints, and got out of the car.

I slid my hand underneath the hatch leading to the engine. After a bit of inspection, the serpentine belt had snapped from the engine! Seeing as I didn't have a belt on me, I decided to close the engine door. Reaching for my cell-phone, I found that it had no reception. Disgruntled, I placed the phone back in my pocket. It was an old one, all right. It had a faded tan color that was considered very gaudy by today's standards. It seemed to be a 1987 Toyota Camry. Ancient…

Without warning, I had felt an incredible fear envelop me as I reached for the handle. Maybe it was because I was alone out here and I had no idea who this guy was. But he stopped for me, so I didn't want him to waste his time for nothing. I opened the door and peered inside. His figure was shrouded in shadows. I told him "Hey, thanks for stopping for me. My car broke down a little ways back, and I was wondering if you could lend a hand?" The person just sat there, blankly staring at the road ahead. "Hey man, if I stopped you for no reason, then just go! Sorry I both-" I was interrupted by the swift turn of the being's head…
