s u i c i d e season

.

We stare at broken clocks, the hands don't turn anymore

The days turn into nights, empty hearts and empty places

The day you lost him, I slowly lost you too

For when he died, he took a part of you

.

It was like one of those days, where no matter what, she couldn't brighten up like she always used to. Her pale golden blonde hair was now a dull shade of light yellow and her sapphire jewels that reminded him of the sky were now dirty pebbles that will never shine. It pained him fiercely as he saw her and knew he can't do anything to fix her.

The hospital was eerily quiet and it made him squirm in his seat and run a hand through his golden locks. He stole a glance at the dull angel that laid in the white sheets and turned away. It has been three weeks since the accident and she hasn't gotten better nor has he even though he hasn't the one that lost his life for her.

The memories of that day hung over the blonds' heads, smothering them with the tragedy and angst.

"Naminé, how you feeling today?" His deep, silky voice rang in her fragile ears. Instead of imaging the blonde, she saw the goofy brunette and she smiled that pretty, little smile that only belonged to the brunette.

"I'm good. I don't feel any better but its okay. What about you, Sora?"

The blonde swallowed the dry lump in his throat as he gripped the material of his pants. He hated lying to her but he had to. She didn't know that the brunette was long gone saving her life. He may have saved her but now, she is going to be blind for the rest of her life.

"I'm okay, just glad you're safe, Naminé." He kept his voice strong and light like the brunette did. His hands clasp over her small pale ones and rubbed small circles against her skin.

She gave him that dull smile again, "I told you before, I'm completely fine. It just disappoints me that I can't see your beautiful face."

He held his breath as her words sent draggers to his poor heart. As much he wanted those words to sent butterflies to his core, they only were harsh reminders of the monster he really was.

"Don't worry, Nami, I look the same since you last saw me. Same spiky hair and blue eyes." He stroked her cheek that gave her the comfort even though it made him feel worse.

She sighed into his warm hand, "I love you, Sora."

Breathing suddenly came short to him and everything stung like a bad bee string. His blonde hair covered the sorrowful lapis orbs of his and he forces a smile even if she could never see it.

"I love you too, Naminé."

Everyday, he fell faster into the black water abyss, knowing he would never be good enough as the brunette. Each day, he found himself getting lost in the act for her to a point where he can't escape and he hoped that while it last, he can savor it the false love she has for him.

.

I would do anything to bring him back to you.
