A Letter to a Lost Love
I remember a time when the sun used to shine. I remember a time when I thought you were mine. I thought things were great. I thought things were fate.
Now the world is cold and it should never be the same. You lied and cheated just to get what you wanted. You could careless how I hurt inside. You walk around as if nothing has gone wrong. You don't know I know how you feel inside. I see you look at her with longing eyes begging for just a chance. Die you ever stop to think what about my girlfriend?
Don't ask why I stay. I pretend I don't know. I pretend she doesn't exist. She comes to me as a friend, but I know she likes you too. I love you and I love her, but this pain is too much to bear. She has those gorgeous brown eyes that stare at you from across the hall. This is what she does. She invites you with her eyes.
The world stops for her. She calls, you drop everything for her. You used to do that for me, but now its all for her. She means more to you than I ever did. I need you now, but where are you? You're with her, doing who knows what. I have emotional problems right now as I write this to you, but you're with her. You're always with her.
I smiled at you heart sinking and sinking every time you say you love me. I know you're lying and I know she is too. I don't want to stay but I don't want to leave. But after all the realizations I had today, I must go. I can't stay. You want her; she wants you. I'm giving you what you want: you're freedom to have her.
"Paige, let's go! Manny's waiting in the car," I hear you scream out.
"I'm coming, Spinner."
You don't need me
anymore; you have her.
Bye, Spin.
Love,
Paige xo
