"Wait," As she turned her back to him.
Every thought told her to move, run, to get away but her blood pulsing directly from her heart kept her still.
"Ino,"
Her jaw trembled, that tone left her winded, gasping for breath.
"What do you want Shikamaru, I have nothing left to say to you." It was harsh, she knew that. But how else would she get his attention. Nothing else she did seemed to even faze him, but finally announcing she was leaving had received a response even Ino herself was not expecting.
The silence drew out. After a while Ino went to move, heading for the door.
"You're such a troublesome woman," His mouth hinting a smile, he took three long strides to place his hands on either side of her face and kissed her forcefully. Stunned for a moment before melting into his lips Ino wondered when Shikamaru had gotten so... passionate. Before she could think any further the world around her began to blur, as their kiss deepened, the only thing in focus was her and this man.
Panting, they pulled apart. Hands untangled and eyes made contact.
"I wasn't really going to leave, you know." Breaking the gaze, Ino looked down guiltily.
"I know. I'm a genius remember?" That smug expression emerged that she knew too well. But yet she couldn't help but smile.
