Kaliane: Well it looks like I will actually write one more story for this fandom. If more comes I have no idea as of yet. This was written in a writing class I took today, in ten minutes and started with the prompt I Remember. I hope that you all like it!

I Remember

I remember a time, long, long ago. It was a time before time. A time before the end. A time when there was still a thing called time. When Arthur, King of all Britain ruled the land and I, his friend and advisor, stood there besides him. A time of peace, a time of prosperity but most of all it was a time of love. When freedom ruled the lands.

I will always remember those golden years, and I will forever carry those memories with me for an eternity. We are tied together…and while he has left me I have waited patiently. I know my King, no my love would return. Return to save the day, no the world once more.

Time is meaningless and it serves no purpose and as the land has changed, rulers coming and going and yet I have remained the same. I, Merlin, the King's Court Sorcerer, have awaited the time my love would return. For I remember all the endless seasons and the endless love. I choose to remember the good times…and yet…I also remember the evil.

The time when everything went dark. The time of the Queen's betrayal that hurled our world into never ending darkness. But Arthur will come again and when he does…I will be waiting, forever remembering our times together and thou it was unheard of for a servant to love a King, or a King to love a servant.

We did. I loved Arthur and I know he loved me as well. It is the only truth that was forever forgotten by this world and yet I do not care. For as long as I remember those days the world can keep the fantasy. All I need, all I have ever needed is Arthur and his love. We were two sides of the same coin, together in secret…all for one person.

Morgana knew and while we were not aware of her knowledge of our love, she forever kept our secret. Morgana who was never evil but true to us, who was true to the Kingdom…she waists with me now. Waits for the time to rise again for Camelot. For Arthur.

"Merlin, what are you thinking?" Morgana asked, strolling into the room. She took a deep breath, breathing in the smell of dust, of a timeless tale as her eyes trailed over dozen of bookcases, each one packed before her eyes landed on a young, lean man with midnight black hair and ocean blue eyes looking out of the attic window.

"Northing Morgana," the man, Merlin, said, closing the book he had been writing in before she entered the room. "Just…time."

"I see," she said, and there was no doubt. She did see, she had always seen and she always would see things that were never meant to be seen.

Kaliane: Well I hope you all enjoyed this little thing. Please review and let me know what you thought.
