Nymphadora Tonks opened her sleepy eyes and smiled. "Morning." She yawned as she looked in the deep eyes of the man lying next to her.

Severus Snape gave a short laugh. "What happened to your hair?"

Tonks, as she wanted everyone to call her, took a tuft of her hair and looked at it. Last night it was short and bright blue, but now it was long and dark black.

"Like you didn't know." Tonks muttered, kissed the grinning Severus and stood up.

Severus still lay on the bed as Tonks went into the shower. Suddenly a burning pain struck in his arm.

"Holy hell!" A scream escaped from his mouth before he had the chance to stop it.

"Sev! Are you alright?! What happened?"

"Nothing! I'm fine!" Severus quickly shouted back to her. "It's absolutely nothing except the Dark Lord." He muttered quietly to himself.

"I just remembered that I have to go! Order-stuff, you know..."

Tonks came back as he was getting dressed. "Dark Lord-stuff?"

He slowly nodded. "Yeah... Look, I have to go. I'm this close to meet Him."

She didn't look at him. "You know that I don't like it. You being a spy. What if they find out that...? That you're on our side?"

Severus shook his head. "They won't. I promise. Don't worry, honey. I'll be back before you know it."

"Okay." She nodded.

"Good. And honey?"

"Yeah?"

"Can you do me a favor?"

"Anything for you, sweet."

"Do something about that hair, will you? That just makes you look too much like Black."

"But Sirius looks good!"

"Yeah well... I'd just rather be married with Nymphadora Tonks than Sirius Black."

Severus took a deep breath and knocked on the door. He opened it and stepped in.

"Snape." A cold, sharp voice hissed. "We've been waiting."

"I'm sorry, my Lord. I wasn't alone when you called me." Severus replied.

"Of course you weren't. How is she?"

"She's fine, my Lord."

"I hope she doesn't know."

Severus shook his head. "No, my Lord. No one does."

"Good. That you would cost you your life, dear Snape."

"Um... Am I here for a reason, my Lord?" Severus asked cautiously.

"Oh yes, you are. I'm terribly sorry to ask you to do something like this-"The cold voice didn't sound very sorry. "But I have a task I want you to do."

"What is it, my Lord? I will do anything to show you my loyalty."

"I want you to kill Nymphadora Tonks."

Severus swallowed. "Excuse me, my Lord? I'm not sure if I heard correctly. You want me to kill Nymphadora Tonks...?"

"Is that a problem, Snape? I thought you will do anything to show me your loyalty?"

Severus took a deep breath.

"You thought right, my Lord. I will do it. I will do it tonight."

"No, not tonight. Tomorrow."

"Tomorrow? But tomorrow is-"

"Your anniversary. Yes, I know. Tomorrow, Snape. You understand?"

Severus nodded. "Yes, I understand, my Lord."
