Summery: After X3 a new student comes to town and her power upsets the mansion …she goes to school and makes new friends with one particular mutant that thinks she has an idea of what she is going through.
Chapter 1
A girl of sixteen was in a common mall in New York. She had short curly light brown hair that came up to her shoulders that was tied up into a bun. She was wearing a quarter sleeved shirt and gloves that went up to her shoulders. They looked and felt like leather, little did anyone know that they were rubber.
She was just walking around and looking like she was just a regular shopper when she saw two men one was wearing a black long-sleeved shirt and a pair of blue jeans and the other was huge and had on a leather jacket shirt and blue jeans. Basically, he looked like an animal in disguise. She decided to just ignore them; lots of people come to the mall right? Who was she to say anything about anybody and she came here to eat so she should because she was getting hungry. So she just went in line to get some Taco Bell.
Logan sensed something was different about a girl across the food court. She was wearing much of what Rogue was wearing a month ago when she still had her powers. This girl had as much layers as Rogue had when he first met her. And to be honest it wasn't that cold. Okay it was kind of cold and he was wearing his leather jacket but there was no need for gloves….unless.
"Bobby, look at the girl standing over there. Doesn't she look like…" Logan stopped.
"Rogue" Bobby answered. He knew that this didn't offend Rogue or anything because he now knows her as Marie and his girlfriend.
Bobby was amazed at whom Logan found and he and Logan decided to go up to her.
The girl realized that both the men were looking at her. And it looked like they were coming up to her. She paid for her food and sat down. And she was ready for anything.
She was eating her food when the two guys that she saw came up behind her and asked if they could sit down.
"I'm sorry, do you think we could sit?" one of them asked.
"Well, depends on your intensions" The girl said in a gentle but demanding voice.
The two men looked at her with odd looks.
"Well, we are just going to come out and ask; why are you wearing gloves?" They asked.
"Well, depends on what you mean? Its cold out." She replied in a light voice.
"Can we be frank with you?" They asked.
"Well, sure." She replied.
"Are you a mutant?" They asked.
"Why? Are you what's left of the brotherhood because if you are then I'm going to-" She said in a mean voice pulling off her gloves.
"No, No, you miss understood us, we're from Xavier's School for the Gifted. We're here to protect you and give you a place to go. Please, come with us." They said.
"By the way, my name is Bobby; his name is Logan nice to meet you…" They said in a gentle tone.
"Candace Marie, friends call me either Candace or Candie" She replied.
"Come to the School, bring your stuff. We'll be there for you." They said.
"I'll go with you now if that's possible. All my stuff is next to me." She showed them her duffle bag.
"Alright, we'll go now. Bobby, get the car." Logan said.
"I'll see you both at the North Entrance; outside." He said and left.
