Hi again everyone! I've been meaning to write this fic for a really long time but I could never get the right words! In the end I spent 3 hours writing it, and 10 hours editing and re-writing! It's not one of my best but I hope you still enjoy it!

Hermione looked around the room of requirements. All around her, her classmates talked loudly amongst themselves, speculating on what had brought the golden trio's return to Hogwarts.
Harry Potter was standing in the back of the room, Ginny and Neville bringing him up to date with what had been happening inside the walls of Hogwarts. Hermione watched Harry's worried eyes as they continuously flickered over to Ginny's face while Neville told him of the infamous punishments of the Carrows.
In the midst of all the confusion, Hermione found herself looking for a certain redheaded young man. When she laid her eyes on Ron, she found him in the far right corner of the room, sitting and talking with none other then Lavender Brown.
Hermione felt her heart plummet into her stomach. After all these months together on the run, protecting each other, keeping each other sane; she thought that meant something to him. But now she saw that she was mistaken.
Feeling someone staring, Ron slowly lifted his head and peering around the crowded room. His eyes settled on a bushy brown-headed girl, whose eyes looked back at him, filled with hurt and betrayal.
When Hermione saw Ron staring at her she quickly looked away and tried to look as inconspicuous as possible.
"Go to her" Lavender whispered. Ron looked at his ex-girlfriend. He tried to tell her with his eyes what words could not express. Lavender nodded in quiet understanding. Ron got up and began making his ways towards Hermione.
"Ron!"
It was Harry. He always did have such a bad timing. Ron slowly peeled his eyes away from the love of his life and went over to where Harry Neville and Ginny were seated.
Lavender, having understood what Ron was about to do, left her seat and made her way over to where Hermione was standing.
"Can I talk to you for a minute?"
Hermione peered curiously at her former roommate but nodded her head in agreement and followed the blonde back to the sofa she was sharing with Ron.
"He really loves you, you know?"
"How are you so sure?"
"It's the way he looks at you. He never looked at me like that"
"Lavender I'm s..."
"It's okay don't worry! I think, deep down, I always knew he didn't love me. I just couldn't stand the fact that he would chose you over me. Now I see that you too are perfect for each other"
"I think you're the only one who thinks that"
"I wouldn't be so sure. I think you guys know it too. You just need to get past the barriers."
"Thanks lavender"
Ron looked up and couldn't contain the gasp that emerged from his mouth at the sight of Hermione and Lavender sitting together talking.
"Harry do you think I should go over there?"
"I dunno mate. Seems like there getting along pretty well to me."
Hermione looked up and noticed Ron staring at her. She blushed and offered him a quick smile.
"Go to him Hermione. He needs you more than you think"
"Thanks Lavender, for everything"
And with that Hermione got up and made her way towards her two best friends, determined to win the war, so that she and Ron could finally have they future they deserved.
Hope you guys enjoyed this! Please review(: It means a lot!
