He was stood there. I was stood there. We were both staring are each other, a look of pure happiness on both our faces. I moved closer to him, closer and closer with our arms out, longing to touch the others arm. Till finally we were touching. I knew it was dream, how could it not be. He was dead.
"I thought you were dead," I murmured softly as I touched a lock of the straight hair which I'd begin to adjust to as being wild and messy.
"This is a dream Rem. I've gone on. I'm dead Rem," he insisted with a sad smile on his face.
"How are you here?" I asked not wanting to even know the answer which he'd respond with.
"I told you Remmy," he stated softly, "you're dreaming. The distance between us is two great as is the space. We're in two different dimensions, you're alive, and I'm dead. The only place we can meet is in this dream realm but even now this isn't real."
"Far across the distance," I whispered as I took his hand once more.
"Hey Remus!" Nymphadora Tonks declared as she burst through the door.
I and Tonks: our relationship was strange. She loved me with all her heart yet I could only love her with half of mine as the rest was still belonging to Sirius.
"You gotta take chances Remmy," Sirius said with a warm smile on his face. We were lying on the beach, side by side as I messed with his hair once more.
"What? I'm confused Siri."
"Remus, Remmy. I love you; I'll always be here with you. I know you love my cousin. Tonks and you are good for each other. Your heart will go on and on Rem. Take a chance."
I laid there thinking, without speaking before I let out a yes, before continuing to get sand in his hair. We wrestled after this before allowing our lips to meet once more.
"Hey Siri," I asked. We were once again back in our dream world. We were in a large field this time. The grass was cut short, a perfect shade of green. But instead of messing with his hair I had my head resting on his chest.
"Yep?" he asked perkily, a warm smile coating his cheerful face.
"Tonks is pregnant," I said moments later after thinking how to phrase it.
"Way to go Remmy!" he cheered excitedly.
"Remus," Sirius asked with a tone of nervousness in his voice. "How's Harry?"
"Um Harry," I began not knowing how to phrase things, "Harry's fine."
"You're lying Remus," he stated looking into my eyes, "I can tell."
It was then I began to explain what had happened at number 12. I told him everything about the argument we'd had.
"She's had the baby Siri!" I yelled happily as I spotted him once more on the beach.
"What ya called it?" he responded in his usual carefree tone before my news kicked in and he yelled it again as he jumped up and span me around.
"Theodore Lupin, Teddy for short after Tonks dad."
He hugged me once more before kissing me on the forehead.
"She's dead Siri! Dora's dead!" I yelled tears pouring down my face. For hours we sat. Me mostly crying and he comforting me, giving me words of advice.
Eventually I rose, wiping the final lone transparent tear of my face.
"Teddy," I whispered before repeating it once more. "Teddy needs me."
"Teddy needs his daddy Rem. He's not even one is he and his mums gone. Teddy's gonna need you. You'll be able to love him enough for the two of you. Dora will live on in you."
"I'm never going to stop loving you Siri." I whispered into his ear. Five years had passed since Tonks death. Every night between sleepless nights due to Teddy I'd been going into this dream world to talk to my first true love...
