By my headcanon, the birthday of any given Organisation XIII member is their number for the month and day—for instance, Axel's birthday is the eighth of August, 8/8. However, Roxas is number XIII, and there are only twelve months in a year, so one has to go around again—January is the thirteenth month of the previous year. Thus, Roxas's birthday is January 13th—today. Happy birthday, Roxas!
This is (probably) AU, and Axel and Roxas (hopefully) act like they do in canon, which means much AkuRoku hinting. Much, much AkuRoku hinting, but nothing actually stated right out.

At lunch that day, Axel jumped up onto the table and clapped his hands. "All right, everybody!" he yelled. "Today is a very special day!"
Roxas groaned and buried his face in his hands. He'd hoped that nobody would make a fuss, but of course Axel would act like it was a big deal. Why had he expected any less?"
"It's Roxas's birthday!" Axel yelled, and was met by a half-hearted cheer from the rest of their group of friends.
"Axel," Roxas groaned, "must you continuously make a fool of yourself?"
Axel grinned at him. "Aw, c'mon, Roxas! It's your birthday! Cheer up!"
"No," Roxas muttered mutinously.
"All right, you asked for it! All together now…!" Axel drew breath in preparation for song.
Oh no, Roxas thought in horror. Not—
"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you! Happy birthday dear Roxas…happy birthday to you!" Axel sang loudly. The performance was met with a smattering of applause and a whistle or two. Still grinning like the idiot he acted, Axel jumped town from the table.
"You moron," Roxas muttered. "You just have to have yourself look stupid at every opportunity, don't you?"
Axel's grin softened slightly. "What can I say? I'm a fool for you."
Roxas punched him in the shoulder. "Quit being sappy."

a/n: Short drabble is short. I'm trying to be creative with scene breaks, since it's a video game—you get music throughout the whole thing.
